Horror master Clive Barker is back at the helm of another game. His first one, the sleeper first person shooter Undying, is well-loved but hardly sold any copies. And now with Codemasters publishing and Spanish studio Mercury Steam developing, his new game has you taking control of a military squad of paranormal specialists who are sent into the North African desert to quell an evil that everyone has underestimated. Oh how I hate having Steam cash just sitting there going to waste. There are always some excellent FTP titles available such as Team Fortress 2, Warframe and DOTA 2, but sometimes you want to branch out from free to play. This article is a list of my personal top 5 Steam titles that you can spend your last five bucks on.

There are hundreds of meh games, mediocre at best, and virtually zero triple AAA games that make you go wow.

OK Metal Gear Rising came out on Friday and not only is it good but from what I have played it is quite the solid port.
You are trolling but I want to mention this game because Platinum deserves some recognition on PC so more of there games come to the platform and I want MGS (that won't happen though)
I was excited to buy my new consoles, but 2 months in and the only thing I still "play" is XBox Fitness. When I'm done with that I switch on my PC where I have a quite overwhelming list of games queued up to play.
@dsswoosh - it's that type of mentality that stagnates our beloved industry. "If it ain't AAA, it ain't good". Means that people just buy the same old games, meaning publishers don't take risks. PC is where you go if you want something fresh and new.
Imo Dota 2 tops everything out there right now and its free. Sure it has items you could buy for the game but those are purely cosmetic.
I personally love the Glados kill announcer in dota 2, hilariously funny.
Ahh, yes. My next article which is pending is my top 5 free to play and dota 2 is number one. This is inexpensive, but not free games. Feel free to comment and suggest other titles which you prefer. We all have our own opinions. Right.
It is a great one. This list is of best $5 games when not on sale. But agreed. Half Life is great
I just downloaded the Steam App last night for the first time. WOW. I cant believe what I've been missing. The Mods alone make it so much better than console. And with the Big Picture mode it plays just like a console. The dashboard is actually better than X1 or PS4. I just ordered a GTX 670 graphics card so I can rock the Skyrim upscaling mods. I had no idea what I had been missing.
you mean the os. i maybe try it later closer to the end of the beta. you if you mean the phone app, yes i can chat with people on my friends list and buy stuff on sale while out of town and even have it download to my pc. steam keeps improving as time goes by

well against better judgement I went ahead and picked this one up....
it's a bit frantic but the atmosphere of the game overall is rather dark...almost too dark. Kinda made me feel like I needed to go back to church.
The story is rather odd "God's first born", but it has some good points. So far I'd give it a B- or a C+ .
i liked the demo but i'm not sure about a purchase as so many games are coming out over the next few weeks at this stage this may have to be an impulse buy in a few months time.
