The Three C’s of Nintendo‘s Wii-U: Confusion, Clarity and Concerns

Game Podunk blogger, dyeknom writes, "This past week resulted in the dissemination of a plethora of information for the Wii-U. According to Iwata, the Wii-U’s name has a “few” different meanings, ranging from the idea of “uniting” gamers and giving “you” an independent screen. Names do not always need to have some sort of hidden meaning and can simply be part of a line, but the name itself seems rather peculiar as they did not opt for a sequential number. Both Iwata and Fils-Aime noted that the system will be competitively priced with the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360, but are not at liberty to discuss an actual price, but Iwata did offer that it will be “more expensive” than the Wii and will “not be cheap.” With the basic models of the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 beginning at $200 and reaching upwards of $400, information offers a significant price range, but will likely be priced on or above the higher end of that scale."
