"In Covington, Kentucky, two men were sentenced to 10 years in prison Monday for robbing a gas station with a "toy gun," which has now been confirmed to be a Nintendo Entertainment System Zapper. Back in May, Arthur Swain, 18, entered an Ameristop Food Mart around closing time and approached the counter. He then displayed a gun, the NES Zapper, to the clerk and made off with only about $100 in cash from the register, reported The Enquirer. According to Assistant Kenton Commonwealth's Attorney Leanne Isler, Swain's accomplice, Jeremy Goins, 20, acted as the lookout during the robbery."
Wow, I don't know who is dumber. The thieves that use NES Zapper or the people who got robbed by NES Zapper and thougth it was some kind of real gun.
This news made me laugh for 5 minutes.
20 years? That's a bit much for a toy gun and $100 don't you think?
WOW. People these days. HE should have went in there with NO gun and just stick his hands inside his shirt. That way when the cops shoot at him he won't really be blamed [Bad Santa Reference]
They sure make smart criminals in the south
