Do You Want to Play Video Games for Free?

GameFly is currently offering a free two week trial to anyone who isn’t already renting games throught he GameFly service. So if you wanted to rent some top notch games for a couple of weeks for free, you’d only have to remember to cancel your subscription before your trial is up and you’re charged for a full month (unless GameFly gets you hooked). I've actually been looking into getting GameFly but like most people have been sort of on the fence about it. This is pretty much the chance I've been waiting for.

Everyday I say I'm going to sign up for GameFly and I never do. I guess now is my chance.

It's free for 10 days... then they charge your credit card so technically it isn't free.

You cancel before the 10 days and you get 6 days for you to ship back the game to gamefly before they charge you.

I like gamefly...except for the fact it takes SO DAMN LONG to get to my house.

So if I send a game back it 3, 4, sometimes 5 days for it to get back to them. Then it takes another 3, 4, 5 days for me to recieve my next game. So before I play another game I have to wait around 6-10 days...funny they don't mention that part. Then if it's weekend, well post offices are closed then, and your stuck with another day.

It creates a mess.

Thank god I still have a blockbuster open, and it takes me only 5 minutes to get to.

For now that's a WAY better option.

It also doesn't cost $15 a month to rent ONE game like it does on GameFly.

GeddyThePolack2733d ago

Blockbuster only costs $20/month for one game or movie out at a time and unlimited exchanges now.

I have to agree, as of late Gamefly has gotten slower since I joined a few years ago. The games take for ever to get back to them and they never ship anything on the weekends.

For instance, it's Friday and if there is a game with Medium or High availability chances are it won't ship today because some dumbass reason that they never explain. A person has to have a game in there queue for weeks to get it when it comes out if you don't, you might as well go rent it form somewhere else or take the chance and buy it.

I have had Dungeon Siege 3 in my #1 spot for about a month so let's see if they ship it Monday night. That's usually when they ship new releases so you will receive it by Wednesday.

If you love getting Achievements/Trophy's or playing lots of varied games, then Gamefly is the way to go. One game at a time is a waste. I recommend two or more at a's just a few dollars more and well worth the money.
