From Atari's E.T. to Thor: God of Thunder, movie tie-ins have been a rocky business, giving us games from Worst Ever to Pretty Good. But recently, movie video games have seen increasing budgets, and developers who genuinely care to bring the best product possible to fans of their favorite movies. The concept of tie-in video games isn't going away any time soon, so it's great to see that the games have gotten better.

Bulletstorm, I actually liked the gameplay but the atrocious writing and characters made me despise the game by the end of it.
Thanks to a bustling mod community on Steam, Gearbox's Aliens: Colonial Marines actually has a stellar multiplayer experience to offer these days.
The only one of those that seems in any way interesting is LOTR and even then I'll wait to see how it's received critically.
I really want to play space marines. I love Aliens stuff. I even liked that new Predator vs. Alien game.
