CVG reports that the following message was posted on the Empire website earlier today:
"Assassin's Creed
Please note that the early review of Assassin's Creed that appeared here was published in error. The review contained misleading information about the game's control system which should be disregarded. Please wait for the final, full review, which will be published online on November 16th."
What you expected? Obviously a major gaming site will publish the first legit review of Assassin's Creed.
Who can you trust? Yes, we can all wait for 'legit' sites but Empire just blew it on the controls. Of course they achieved the inner intention (site hits). This is why the Gameinformer review system is good. Always have a second opinion.
and all of those people in the previous post that were bashing anyone saying bad things towards Empire...now I can gladly say serves you right...they see now how the pitfalls of blind loyalty can hurt
I hope to make an official site that reviews games. That's one of my goals in life.
P.S. Someone just came out of the toilet and it smells like a dead pig in there, oh god.
the devs got hold of Empire and hit them over the knuckles for spilling the beans on the controls, thereby possibly hurting sales.
I don;t think you have to be a gaming-exclusive site / person to be able to tell that you have no control over the timing of jumps and leaps etc.
IF this is true (about the controls), I will definately pass on AC as that is one of the main things that had me interested in it.
