The Editor at MediaKick gives his reasons on why he's so disappointed by the Wii U.
All of those reasons are reasons it will own.;) -but I still won't buy it ! Lol
Some critics said the same thing when the Wii was released. Ninty just laughed it's butt off on it's way to the bank.
And gamers to a 360 or ps3.
every single system nintendo does is met with this stupidity but then they make the most profit every gen
combined with the ds which sold 85+ million units. It made the most profit
yeah even gamecube made so much money more than ps2? maybe when they were both available but im skeptical
What? now we are combining handhelds and console sales? dont get dizzy spinning so much. PS2 150 million sold as of jan 2011 Gamecube 21.74 million sold so no Gamecube was not the most successful console of its generation. I can dig out the Playstation v. N64 numbers is you want but just suffice it to say that Nintendo is not always successful.
How did he come up with this article, copy/paste a Wii U thread from N4G? Largely the same unjustified reasoning I find here.
Its the fear i tells ya all this wii u hate.
They have 17 months to flesh out functionality and expectations, I'm not going to play the jump to a conclusion game. Got to love the pessimism though.
Psvita $249, was capable of running unoptimizied mgs4 code @ 30 fps and looked decent, 3ds $249 have heard it's slightly more powerful than a psp. These are very valid reasons for being pessimistic or skeptical which ever you prefer regarding the wii u, especially since iwata said it will not be cheap and nintendo always has to make a good profit on their hardware sales. I find pessimism/skeptism to be right more often than not, the older i get.
This article sums up exactly how I felt after the Nintendo conference. We forget sometimes that Nintendo is very hit or miss with consoles. N64 and Gamecube were less successful then there competitors so just because ninty made the wii doesn't mean that it can do no wrong. As for me I am skeptical of the WiiU until they actually show what this thing can do.
i miss the n64 and gamecube days. those were some great nintendo consoles. can't say the same thing about my wii.
-Horrible presentation that did not describe anything about it -Horrible name which only confused most people -non-playable tech demos and footage from other consoles No wonder stocks fell. It's not that WiiU is a horrible product, they just failed in every aspect at revealing it to the public.
They had playable demos...the reporters who have actually played the thing said it worked really well.
Who cares what he thinks, I can't wait to play some ghost recon online
It looks horrible to me.Gimmick again.I bought a Wii(for my wife and children mainly)and it is a piece of crap. Selling to a non gamer public successfully does not make it any better either.
Oh please, your comment seems suspect.
And you and the rest of the nintendo faithful, isn't suspect in the opposite direction yeah right, it was a horrible showing not enough substance just fluff about the controller. A lack of a built-in hdd, tells me nintendo will be lazy as hell when it come a digital store like the ps store or marketplace, it should have had a hdd for hardcore gamers. It needs a online service comparable to psn or live, you nintendo guys might except the limited wii's online, but ps3/360 gamers won't. Nintendo should have held off putting a spotlight on the wii u, till they had, several 1st party games to show off, and give the gaming public solid data on how powerful it is/specs, not this vague bs but cold hard facts. I know you nintendo faithful will pay any price for the wii u, others will have to see a final price and some solid games before spending $300-400 on a new console that is "50% more powerful" than 6-7 yr old modified pc hardware.
well written article summed up how I felt after the conference, but on the flip side I cant wait to hear more about the Wii U (I really hate the name). I also think Ninty weren't ready to show off the console yet as well, going by the Ubisoft presentation they didn't know a thing about the console or wasn't allowed to say.
