A second opinion on Square Enix's E3 2011 showing of Final Fantasy XIII-2 both hands-on and hands-off from a different member of the RPG Site staff.
Call me skeptic. The fact that they are making a sequel to an already mixed bag amongst fans means they are hoping that they will put enough faith in Squenix to make up for what was a polarizing experience. Something tells me the sales will be half what FFXIII was, especially since not many people completed or even bought the original.
idk i liked 13 but so far im not liking 13-2
that it will be just like ff13.
I think that's the big fear yeah, but they are also showing they WANT to change it up... hopefully they do.
Hey, pretty cool same game all over again. The only thing that can save this game is a good story.
It's funny that this game already has a set launch date and Versus XIII doesn't even have a ballpark. Clearly everyone wants Versus XIII, but we're being told tough, you get what we want to give you when we want to give it to you. I swear SE and MS are in negotiations right now.
Probably. SE needs the money now; but is MS really all that interested after how FF13's performance wasn't up to FF7 or even FF10 standards?
I would say so. MS' seems interested in any 3rd party games they can get. I mean, judging from their E3 conference, they are incapable of decent first party games unless they are Kinect games.
I wanna know how the f^&k did they find the time to make a sequel to ff13 when ff verses 13 was announced with the original 3 games 5 years ago!!! Squarenix has become such a piece of shit company. I wish hironobu sakaguchi could get the rights to the final fantasy series again.
I actually enjoyed Final Fantasy XIII, unlike a lot of people here. I enjoyed the cinematic experience it gave me and the battle system was pretty fun. As long as this game gives us larger levels (which was proven to do so already through dungeon maps revealed), some side quests, an enhanced battle system from its prequel (already proven as well), and new features (also already proven), then it's a sequel I'll look forward to.
I can't really say this enough - FF13 was flawed but wasn't a bad game at all. At all.
Agreed. It was just too different and people panicked. It's a great game though.
FF13 sucks so hard......
Im starting to think that the newcomers to FF are the only few who did like the game, as opposed to all the veterans.
You can revisit towns in FF 13-2 according to famitsu http://www.gamenyusu.com/co...
