As cool as this looks I won't be using it. I don't want to be in an online match, during intermission, customizing with my hands when I can easily press a button and use the directional pad.

what if you could just say "close quarters setup" and it puts the right gun in for you? A lot easier than pushing buttons and directional pad if you ask me.

I must admit, using the kinect to customize your weapon is pretty cool looking.... until he started playing the game by going into a fighting stance while flashing his fingers in and out..... (-_-)

Looks cool to me....defintely one of the coolest demo's at E3. It's a very interesting and unique way to customize your weapons besides the standard selection menu in every other shooter, I don't get the people who downplay what kinect offers with the logic that "its easier to just press a button", by that same logic we should all just be gaming with 1 button Atari controllers with onscreen promts that take care of all the charachter actions+HD graphics, hell why not just hit a button and the game plays by itself....its easier right? but thats not the goal to be easier, the goal is to become more immersive= get the gamer involved while simultaneously making the controls intuitive.

By no means am I suggesting this small kinect functionality is the holy grail of gaming immersion or gameplay but if the best reason you have to knock kinect is that pressing a button is easier then that doesn't mean much when you consider our gaming controllers have only gotten MORE COMPLEX as gaming advanced not because gamers wanted "easier" and not because we neccessarily wanted harder games, they evolved that way because devs & GAMERS wanted to have MORE CONTROL over the game & charachter actions. In the past the only way to do that was to increase the buttons/options of game controllers. Now Kinect, move & wii are simply MORE OPTIONS that ADDS to the way we interact with games, for the life of me I don't know why any gamer would not want the option of more interaction/immersion out of their games. Same reason graphics continue to improve, because it helps pull you into that fictional world and entertain you for a few hours.

If it was as precise as they are making it out to be it would be fantastic but I have real doubts as to how usefull this is going to be in online play.

I don't think Microsoft are competing in the same league as Sony anymore. It's only a matter of time when they decided to shutdown their gaming division like what they did in most of their developers like esemble studio.

You mean shut down because the Entrainment division because it's actually making money. Yes... that makes total sense. Very sad
