Player Affinity | Is Kinect Good for Hardcore?

Player Affinity writes: This year at E3, the Microsoft Press Conferences chose to make Kinect their main focus. Now, like it or not, the Kinect is extending the life cycle of the Xbox 360. But at what cost? Microsoft has been pushing Kinect with a half a billion dollar campaign. That’s a lot for a motion device, but has the Kinect proven itself to the hardcore yet?

The story is too old to be commented.

I have zero interest in Kinect as a "hardcore" add on. I'm not a fan of rail shooters, and haven't been since house of the dead. Star wars honestly looks like a joke. I still haven't seen any game intended for the "core" audience that looks any good besides Ryse, and I'm not sure how that's gonna turn out. However, as a quick 30 min session, I couldn't be happier. My wife and I have a good time playing Dance Central, Kinect Sports is always a good time with friends, and honestly my 3 yr old daughter was so excited to see the Disney game, that I'll be picking that up and playing with her. I just accept Kinect for what it is, Microsoft's attempt on taking the casual gamers. I don't buy for a second this was ever meant for the core gamer.

Hey this is my article!!!!

@Slapedurmomsace Yeah I think Star Wars Kinect is going to be a joke also. Hopefully Metal Gear isn't like that.
