Who Won E3 2011? The Full Review Is Inside

Microsoft's conference was a ghostly echo of the one they had last year (which, in turn, was uncomfortably similar to Nintendo's 2008 conference), Sony's conference was largely boring with nothing new really announced and too much focus on 3D, although the PS Vita price reveal came in as a pleasant surprise, and Nintendo's... depending upon which side of the fence you stand on, it was either the best E3 conference we've had in years, or a confused, unfocused mess (if you're like me, it was probably a mixture of both).

Anyway, now that we have the benefit of hindsight, we are going to have a look at all three of the conferences, and decide on who actually 'won' E3 this time around. Strap yourselves in. You may not like what's coming up."

When sony CEO was interviewed at the end he said it's still in development and hinted it may be multiplat but playstation will get exclusive content and be the better version (on gttv) I think 2012 E3 is when the games will be coming out. W'ell start seeing the AGENT'S GTAV'S GOD OF WAR 4 AND ETC Maybe a PS4???????????????? Probably not but hey ... you neve rknow!!!

Wait no mention of StarHawk?!!! I kinda hate rumors and speculation now. It takes away the whole fun. Just think if we never knew about the chances of revealing Starhawk, it would have been a real thrilling announcement. Still it's confirmed and I think that's good!

Hopefully Rockstar has grown out of the GTA immaturity. They have began making far better games without GTA and it's made the company far more respectable in my opinion.

As for the article, I think it was well written and not far off. I agree with the order being Nintendo, Sony, Microsoft, but I honestly think Sony deserved a little more credit and, honestly, I think Microsoft's was pure crap. Worst conference in recent memory.

Sony won this E3, it wasn't difficult at all though, PSV announcement, price and games was the best, it could be better if they showed more games for PS3, N screwed up their wii-u announcement making it all confusing and MS, lets say they pleased more casuals than core gamers this time...

Coming back to the topic: I think Sony had a pretty good E3 outing. they actually showed what they wanted to. The PS Vita price was the surprise point for me. At 250 bucks its an insta buy for me, although the ATnT thing was a bit disappointing.

Not many games on the current consoles run it native though. In fact, there's only one game that comes to mind, and that's WipEout HD.

From what I've been hearing, and from what Reggie said, everything shown on the Wii U is running native 1080p.

^ there are more than just Wipeout. most are smaller PSN games. i know the first two NBA2k games where,GTP, and i can't remember if GT5 is or not.

almost everything shown running on WiiU where uprezzed Wii games. only thing Reggie was say was the WiiU can do 1080p, but the guys from Ubisoft have been saying the specs have yet to be finalized with the WiiU.

Sorry but I'm not into handheld gaming, so no I wasn't blown over by Sony. In fact, I wasn't even impressed because like I said, handheld gaming isn't my type of thing. There are some of Sony's first party games I was impressed with, but their conference? No.

EDIT: Not really. I haven't been into handhelds since Gameboy Color lol. I've played The DS, PSP and all that, it was alright but it wasn't something I see myself doing all the time to invest money in it.

And if you're not a hardcore fan of Zelda, it was the worst opening ever. He also criticized Sony for showing montages and dragging on but Nintendo showed NO live games at all. None. They gave no real info on the Wii U aside from the controller, Luigi's mansion was their surprise reveal, and the rest was montages. I thought N had a worse outing than Microsoft. Next year's E3 will probably go Nintendo's way because we'll actually see live games being demoed on Wii U and get price points and launch dates. This year was a preview for next year.

I guess it all depends on which company happens to be your favorite. N won hands down last year, but this year was laughable.

It was a terrible E3 IMO

Sony announced no RPGs, no Medieval 3, no Syphon Filter, basically nothing too shocking, nothing that really caught my eyes, not counting shooters this whole generation is shooters and it should stop

Nintendo announced alot of 3DS games, and the Wii U didnt impress too much and what a stupid name

Microsoft announced alot of Kinect titles and suprisingly announced Halo 4 and Halo 1 remake, it was really shocking *saracasm*

The only positve suprise during the sony conference was the price of the vita & the 3d bundle.

We alread knew a lot of the details on their new consoles months ahead of time and they really only announced one new game, and that was Luigi's Mansion for the 3DS.
