GigaBoots.com provides commentary for the E3 2011 trailer for DmC, the Devil May Cry reboot from Ninja Theory.
VGChartz's Mark Nielsen: "Upon finally finishing Devil May Cry 5 recently - after it spent several years on my “I’ll play that soon” list - I considered giving it a fittingly-named Late Look article. However, considering that this was indeed the final piece I was missing in the DMC puzzle, I decided to instead take this opportunity to take a look back at the entirety of this genre-defining series and rank the entries. What also made this a particularly tempting notion was that while most high-profile series have developed fairly evenly over time, with a few bumps on the road, the history of Devil May Cry has, at least in my eyes, been an absolute roller coaster, with everything from total disasters to action game gold."
3,1,4,5 to me, never played 2. 5 gameplay is amazing but level design was really disappointing to me, just a bunch of plain arenas, the story felt like a worse written rehash of the 3rd and the charater models looked weird ( specially the ladies ). Another problem with 5 was that there was not enough content for 3 charaters so I could never really familiarize with any of them

God DMC2 was an awful game.
And in case this isn't obvious it goes worst to best
Order changes depending on your focus. I tend to focus on gameplay/fun factor, so...
5, 3, 1, 4, 2.
I really didn't like 4 but commend Dante's weapon diversity. The retreading of old ground was pretty unacceptable to me.
But even then... Still more enjoyable than 2 for me
Huzaifah from eXputer: "Devil May Cry 5, the latest iteration in the iconic DMC franchise by Capcom, still holds its own as a fantastic hack-and-slash in 2024."
NVIDIA continues to add games to GeForce NOW. This week, Devil May Cry 5, Gears Tactics, and The Crew Motorfest lead the charge.
Hey look everybody its dante's older brother the loveable drug addict who got abandon at a young age.
Maybe what they need to do is get the Vision across. huh? you mean this is another game with a bunch of patchwork ideas thrown together and mixed with some assumed "coolness" factor.
On a serious note, a main vision is whats missing in today's video games. If you look at a lot of dev diaries recently, that is what it comes across as, a patchwork of ideas fueled by the publisher's marketing crack team that the dev is under. A few games escape this let alone transfer that original vision into a final product. This is why some devs say that gamers and/or reviewers don't "get" their games, ie Crystal Dynamics...no sunshine, you just didn't get it across properly with your hack job of an app.
I think we all have to wait until we see more of the game but honestly I dont think it looks that bad. Yes it will, unfortunately, run at 30 frames but the combat is looking good and I hope it ends up being a good game. Also it was Capcoms idea to change Dante not Ninja Theory so there you go
I won't be buying it!
It looks better then I was expecting - I like the urban style and how the city comes alive.
And I like how he turns back into the old Dante when the devil trigger is active, combat looks solid also.
