The hype is warranted. From their time with Assassin's Creed, Screen Play would not be surprised if it is game of the year. They spent a gripping day last week playing the game and chatting to effervescent Creative Director, Patrice Desilets.
Patrice says there are two elements to Assassin's Creed - the formal missions and "the toy".
When Screen Play finally grabbed the joypad, they could instantly understand what Patrice was talking about. Whether leaping across rooftops, scaling the heights, swan diving from towers or just annoying innocents by barging into them, knocking over their market stalls and causing them to drop items like pots, Assassin's Creed is enormous fun to just tool around with.
Im already sold on this game...haha..it's between this Game and Uncharted for GOTY..IMO..!!
Personally, I think GOTY is going to be between this and Mass Effect. They are the only two games I'm excited enough about that I'm buying them on day one. Usually I wait a few weeks to snatch them on the cheap online, or just rent them, but these two have stolen my lunch money for sure.
Edit: Somebody obviously doesn't think this game is all that good. We ALL got disagrees, hahaha!
i have been sold on this game since 2006 when i first heard of it .... i really really really really really really really really want this game lol
This game looks awesome. I'm looking forward to trying out this style of stealth in a game.
believe it or not, but I'm interested to see the final results and reviews. Not really my type of action game. I need loads of blood, limbs, screams, and gore (GoW, HS, Conan, Manhunt, the Darkness) to go along with it and from what I've seen this game is heavy on the stealth and escapist tactics, but not high on the bloodletting-onslaught of an "invincible hero". Ya know? I know a ton of you love it, but I'm definitely outside looking in on this one; hopefully, I'll be pleasantly surprised.
Can't wait for PS3vs.360 screen comparisons - what a *fun day that will be. <------------sarcasm
