Duh, unless you own stock in the company or an employee then there is no reason to "love" but then again GAMES GAMES GAMES! you dumb f**k we love games and it seems some systems have "better" games. Incase you are unaware some people have the money to own "all" the systems but choose not to because one may not have what you like (or they just plain suck, looking at you PS3)

system that you pay a lot for, doesn't have many games, but given enough time you will have games that you never want to stop playing (Ratchet and Clank, MGS 4, Warhawk, Heavenly Sword). Same here, I bought mine after the first price drop along with one of the new PSP slim and have never regretted neither purchase. There are more than enough games available for it already that I don't need to wait until 2008 to take advantage of the system.

Maybe it's just a matter of standards. I' think X360 is lowering the standards of the games with his lack of HD, hdmi and hi def, with his pay-per-play online system, without motion sensing...

See thats a common mistake people make. People assume since the ps3 is 200 dollars more than the Xbox 360 it therefore makes it more powerful but they are dead wrong. The Xbox 360 is way more powerful than the ps3 thats why the games run at steady frames and it still has the most graphical game ever on it Gears of War.

Good reflection. The name console war come from the news paper. We do not go in war, just in game. Console dose not make people crazy, it is the people that reveal their crazyness in that "war" but most gamers are not in war, they choose a console, some like it some don't.

I think last gen was garbage games, except a few online. That is why I wait until a 200$ PS2 with a game + online adaptor.

That is just a fact: there is a new console every 5 year's. For me I will just wait until all bugs are fixed, and grab alot of 10-15$ hot title games used and be happy with it. What cost is the $ you put in games.

i ask myselve what is the worth of paying and playing. I think my formula is good cause I don't rent movies, I jsut buy a 10-15$ good game from the PS2 répertoire and play for month, then pick another one.

Like in my blog about WHY WAIT TO BUY A PS3. I will wait 2010 to get a PS3, most bugs will be fixed and dev. will know what they do. Also there will be alot of good games.

PS3 will win over Wii I am sure of that. But if someone like his Ps2, PS1, GBA, GC, whatever, it is his business. I think a Xbos with Live is a steal.

Last gen really suck, this one is just 40 time better. 40 times, just 2x would make me happy but 40 that is alot woth it.

that the 360 and wii are this gen and ps3 jumped two generations after ps2 because the hardware is so expensive they should of waited and kept most things back back they was a little to arrogant on the PS brand when they did that sony just thought power remember sega thought that look what happened to them and in a few years the xbox 720 and wii2 should have the hardware to battle the ps3 and by the way i no everyone on this site knows what there after

lol. i didnt expect this thread to get many posts.....Its usually the negative posts on ps3 that get like 450 replies in 20 minutes from 3 xboxowners with multiple accounts.

Offtopic: just got off an 4 hour warhawk and ratchet and clank spree........DAmn the audio in those games blows me away. im not even gonna comment on the graphics. no love for my wii today (typing on pc)...maybe soon

the author aint wrong, in the grand old scale of things, we have to remember that Microsoft and Sony aren't SOLELY in the games console market. Sony makes all sorts of Audio/Visual equipment, and Microsoft just so happens to own the vast majority of the PC market with a little thing you may have heard of called 'Microsoft windows'. these guys entered the market because they thought it would be a nice little money spinner. if making money Wasn't what mattered most, Atari (jaguar = flop), Sega (Dreamcast = flop) and Panasonic (3DO = flop) would never have stopped making consoles.

I own an Xbox360, and i am very happy with it. It is, a very nice piece of kit. I would like a Wii, and if I was offered a PS3, I wouldn't say no. the reason I haven't bought either ain't cause I simply don't have the money, time or use for another console. yes I know that the 360 is about as reliable as... well... it just isn't (5months for mine to be fixed my M$... gits) that Sony's PR machine could fill a swimming pool with bull muck and that alot of people that buy Wii's play nothing but Wii sports, but all in all it doesn't matter. the console is about the experience playing it. and currently I would rather spend my money maximising the experience I get from my 1 console (buying the FFB wheel etc.) than spending money on something that will most likely give me hardly any more entertainment than what I have.

This writer does make some valid points
and
I do like my PS3 but compared to what you spend money wise I don't just look for games.
I look for future advancements in hardware to make better games and accessories & programs that appeal to me.
This led me to the PS3 seriously I'm not being a fan boy here I tried out every console before making my purchase and I'm happy with my investment because Sony is a reliable company that they won't just discontinue an old console for something new as another product that way everyone is happy.
Plus a lot of there new stuff is free.

Which holds twice the space giving better quality to movies and games compared to the HD DVD.
As far as I know Sony only offers this kind of service plus a main company website to look up every Sony product and item available.
