Konami Working On PES2008 Framerate Issues

Konami is suffering criticism from gamers who say the PS3 version of the game suffers from frame rate issues and slowdown. Earlier today Konami apologised for the quality of online play with an online notification displayed when gamers enter the PES 2008 lobby. It revealed that the publisher has uncovered "issues which can affect the online gameplay quality of PES 2008" and is working "full strength to find a solution as quickly as possible".

Konami's UK office however have now added to that stating an "offline" patch was also being worked on to combat the game's issues.

Issues like these shouldn't be a pat to the back for Developers. They rush out faulty products just to sell. Then fix afterward.

Kaneda4876d ago

They are better than EA...they fixed it...EA ignored it..

Snukadaman4876d ago (Edited 4876d ago )

Im sure the game was rushed out but saying they are trying too fix it...i dont know...if ea cant do it what can konami do but admit there is a problem and say they are doing something about it.

I make perfect sense too people that HAVE sense and read what i posted...those particular ea games have not received updates for the slowdown and framerate problems...dont you think by now if there was a chance too fix them, they would have??

There you go again Snuka with you stupid nonsense! what you're saying doesnt make any sense. And it just shows your hate towards the system. Give it up fanboy and i cant even stand sport games.

dantesparda4874d ago

I see that you completely changed your post to make more sense and then make it look like im not making any sense by accusing you of making no sense. Keep it real, Snuka, keep it real!

cause everyone is buying this game on PS3, it should be the best version, not the worst. WTF Konami?

Meus Renaissance4876d ago

The PS3 version seems to be the most popular. Online retailers show it to be the best selling out of the different versions aswell some local stores I've seen today having boxes of PES2008

vaan4876d ago

Does the 360 version suffer from the same slowdown? If not, then I may start to believe the argument that the memory layout of the ps3 is the cause of all this bs.

Before you flame me, I am a PS3 owner and love my PS3 and don't have a 360 or intend to get one.

You should know by know the story of PS3 development.

If this game was indeed led on the PS3 platform and Konami were not up to the standards of other PS3 developers then the game should have just looked worse than it does but at least run smoothly.

When you make console games, you make them within the limits of the Hardware and your knowledge of it. It is my belief therefore that this is a cut and paste port from another lead platform. The fact that you can turn off certain effects to get it to run faster prove this point even more :)

The reason they are working on the PS3 version is because 80-90% of the world buys it for the playstation.

WilliamRLBaker4876d ago

isn't suffering from the same issues, the only issue the 360 is suffering from is draw distance filtering the ps3 version is the version with frame rate issues.

Blood_Spiller4876d ago

The PC also has frame rate issues apparently.

they look, play and feel different so i think they werent done by the same team which isnt strange nowadays

Wotbot4876d ago

I have the 360 version and it plays smooth. I have played 5 games and there has been no slowdown.

The replays for some reason run at a fast pace and miss some frames. But that all goes when you take control of the reply, still a bit strange though. This didn't happen in the 360 demo.

I love this version already and is the true sequel to PES 4. The graphic's aren't as good as Fifa but they are still acceptable. But the gameplay is spot on.

Konami needs too find the cells weak spot for better frame rate.

too late, went ahead and got fifa last night after waiting to see what Winning Eleven had this year.. but alas, maybe next year.
