Mike Krukow talks about voicing sports video games

Mike Krukow knows baseball. After all, in addition to being one of the voices of the San Francisco Giants (along with his broadcast partner Duane Kuiper) he has 14 seasons worth of Major League Baseball experience as a pitcher. And while he's not much into video games himself, he'll forever be a part of gaming history as both he and Kuiper have lent their voices to not one but three MLB-endorsed baseball video games by Electronic Arts.

I always wondered how they did voiceover stuff for sports games like that. Gotta say, the reality is fairly close to what my imagination was able to cook up.

From Xfire: "Sports games are the average Joe's best chance at getting to play under the big bright lights with thousands of people in the stands watching their every move. It doesn't matter if you're a hoops junkie or a baseball fan, sports video games let you live out your hopes and dreams."

I miss Dark Cloud I mean damn, Dark Cloud 2 is one of the best Action RPG game ever made. The game have: Rich Worlds, different setting, tons of contents, vareity in gameplay like never before (and even after), best buliding mechanics, crafting system like no one did and finally impressive graphics.

Most underrated game ever. It deserved the popularity and sales of Zelda and Final Fantasy. ut unfortunately, Level-5 and Sony didn't advertise it at all.

My franchises I wish would make a come back, are Battlefront by pandemic studios - galactic conquest was the best, mercenaries 1 and 2, and prototype 1 and 2...great games!

The Best EA Sports Video Games

Chances are, your video game collection probably has at least one EA Sports title in it. From the latest Madden, FIFA, and NHL releases of today to the MVP Baseball and NCAA Football releases of yesteryear, EA Sports has long held the gold standard for sports video games, and continues to dominate the market.

Judging from the list, EA's best days are behind them and I'm inclined to agree. And now that I think about it, EA only holds the "gold standard" because there aren't any other developers around their sports monopoly.

As for NHL '94... I loved that game. It seemed every time I headed over to my friend's place we would have to play his copy eventually. Now I kinda wanna play it since I haven't in... well, a long time.

FIFA 13 was the last EA Sports game i enjoyed. Everything has been rubbish since then.

Fight Night was great. Such a shame they stopped making those.

True, but the fudged up the controls in the last one so they were already on the road to ruin.
