During a conference call today, Take Two Interactive has stated that it is very proud to have had a profitable year without a Grand Theft Auto title.
Achievement Unlocked! (or Trophy, whatever makes you moist)
lol lol @ "whatever makes you moist." I'm starting to turn into a trophy/achivement addict.
Who needs GTA when they've got RDR, LA Noire and NBA 2K!! Michael Jordan > Niko Bellic
GTA is still the best, GTA4 was just that one that doesn't fit. Even tough people do like it, Majority feel it wasn't as good as previous ones(in my experience anyway)
TBoGT was extremely enjoyable. I just wish it had been the vanilla version and expanded out from there.
I'm happy they have been able to expand their portfolio of titles.
They should be proud. Good company!
It's good to see they're not a one trick pony. This is probably one of the best companies in gaming. They usually innovate with every game.
Good for you Take-Two, now please hurry up with GTA5, because unlike many people who have already forgotten, GTA is your best franchise and one of the most established in the gaming industry.
Its good to see them being really profitable without GTA, though Im really hoping to see something of a new GTA really soon, sadly they arent going to be at E3, or so they say
there shouldn't be another grand theft auto until next gen
Why? Last gen we had 3 GTA's, and then like 3 more on Handhelds. All of them were really fun to play (though I never played Chinatown one). Im sure GTA 5 will be a next gen title, but they could very well put a new GTA just not numbered.
i'd rather see Rockstar continue to bring us new titles and let grand theft auto wait
They've already brought us new titles, Red Dead, made by Rockstar San Diego, and LA Noire, though only published by them, plus they say Agent and Max Payne 3 are still in development.. And its been awhile since we've seen a GTA
profits were way way way down though...........20 percent........ so its not all good
20% isn't all that much, growth is very hard, especially when not releasing your bread and butter franchise. It depends on context.
what are you talking about? a 20 percent drop in profit is a big deal theres no good way to cover that up
If they make 100million profit last year, and it drops 20%, it's still 80million. 20% isn't much considering there was no GTA.
well its more then acti could ever achieve without COD
And they managed not to milk the crap out of their best franchise so nobody will be barfing at the mere mention by next gen!
where is Agent?
