I hope so too, but remember how much they improved overall performance in the first installment of the series? I think it's safe to say that CDprojekt will give witcher 2 some TLC, lol

1. No i dont have claims but theres to much evidence that its coming like pluging in your 360 controller and having a 360 controller setup already there, devs remaining coy on the console subject, and its a action rpg which does well on consoles.

2. Dont have Noire, niether do i want it right now im waiting for inFAMOUS 2 thank you :) Also the best rpg's ever made are usually on consoles and PCs...

...about bringing Andrzej Sapkowski world to life and all they want is to continue doing what they love without compromise and consoles does not allow them to do that (and that is why The Witcher 1 for consoles was cancelled) They do not also care about piracy because they have gained the respect of all PC gamers and even the most hardcore of pirates will want to think twice about stealing their game if they can buy it. Don't call those people pirates who do not have the opportunity to buy the game because either the game is not available in their region or they do not have a credit card. Despite all that I expect The Witcher 2 to sell 3-5 Million copies easily by just staying PC exclusive and then they can release expansion packs that will further increase the lifespan of the game and they also have their gog.com digital distribution system which offers DRM Free good old games that work fully in Windows 7.

only prob with it going to consoles it that its not gonna run aswell. I mean i have 6 gigs of ram and in some intense spots running on medium i lose some frames, with the ps3 and 360 only have 512 ram thats gonna be tough. I know the ps3 can do it, but not sure the 360 can, i mean look at L.A noire issues the 360 has

I'm glad this game utilizes the potential of a pc. If this game does come out on consoles the graphics would be equivalent somewhere between med to low settings on a pc.

PC games aren't the only ones facing this bias. It's Wii games too.

I don't know what's wrong with the gaming "journalists" these days! StarCraft II and SMG2 were the very best games of 2010, but they got the least goty awards. IGN's PC team deemed SC2 best PC game (above ME2), and almost everyone said SMG2 was the perfect game experience and best platformer EVER... but look at the GotY results. I fully expect that the same thing will happen this year, and neither The Witcher 2, The Old Republic or The Legend of Zelda will get any GotY awards.

Also, this bias is not only restricted to PC & Wii. Handheld console games aren't even nominated for the GotY, let alone win it. Super Mario 3DS, RE Revelations and Kid Icarus uprising will never be that. Also some genres like Fighting, 2D platformer or Racing games will never be given the award. So no matter how good Mortal Kombat is or how good Mario Kart 3DS or DIRT 3 are, they won't be GotY.

Don't wait for the awards man, just play the game and enjoy your life. Why should you care about some stupid "journalist's" opinion anyways... ;)

well I don't know, i'm splitted on the matter. I've finished it this morning and I found the issue to be alright, so the 3rd chapiter went really too fast, and that somehow made me sad.

there's 3 chapters!? wow. i've played it a lot so far and i'm still on the first lol

i'm prob spending more time on crafting and exploring than most

act 2 is a little shorter than the 1rst, but it's lenghty.

Chapter 3 is something like 2 huors long though, and then it's the end :'(

2hrs... yeah that will easily turn into at least 4 for me. i've put in a lot of time in just chapter 1. i really have. been playing it since the game released. one day i spent most of my time finding stuff to craft swords/potions/bombs etc lol

Well aren't there 16 endings, are there slight differences in how it ends or drastic (to someone who has finished it twice). @ Chack I chose to go with the elves and in the end my act 2 has been longer than my act 1 (and my act 1 was long), at the moment I am on act 3 but cant wait to start again and choose the different options especially see the other place in act 2 and get different missions.

Graphics are great. Shadows are terrible and really take away from the experience when you notice it. I hope its just a bug and they fix it in a patch soon

? shadows are fine even in ultra, the only time I heard there was problems with shadows was when it was in beta.

shadows are soft, smooth and undeniabley sexy on my rig, look at those sexy shadows....

(my rig sadly only has two 570's sli)

you may have a driver issue, or at the launch window go into advance settings and make sure shadow quality is set to ultra or high and number of shadow is set to ultra or high

if you are still having problems, look to re-install as maybe some files got corrupted during install
