Brendan McNamara Explains Why LA Noire 2 Won’t Take as Long to Make

Now that Rockstar Games’ LA Noire is out and expected to sell 4 million copies or more, the attention turns to what’s next for Team Bondi. Brendan McNamara’s old Sony studio, Team Soho, followed up 2002’s PlayStation 2 hit, The Getaway, with The Getaway: Black Monday in 2004. Given that LA Noire took about five years to develop both the technology and the game itself, McNamara doesn’t believe a sequel will take as long to make.

LA NOIRE
Being rumored to need 6 discs.
That leaves 3 discs for DLC or an entire second game.
Basically they have it already so it won't take long

Someone didn't read that article ..
It was 6 discs long, before compression.
With only a 'supposed' few things removed.
But, then again, just like movies, games remove things.
Not always cause of disc space, but because it wasn't good, or whatever reason.

cause there should be a sequel to something awesome....they didn't really end it to line us up for a sequel.....i guess they could do the same concept (super sleuth) in New York, Chicago, Miami, Las vegas.....yada yada....but i don't think i would be as great unless they could think of a plot that tops this one

I hope not. LA noire was overrated and boring. Story was ok.

undercovrr4327d ago

just because he thinks otherwise of the game doesn't mean hes young. Your comment doesn't sound as smart as you might think

lil Titan4327d ago

never thought, thunk, or was thinking my comment was "smart" but atleast mine is just unlike your random comment

I beat the game, and it was a forgettable experience apart from the characters and facial animations. GT review said it best, "if it wasn't for the facial animations, LA noire would be half the game it is" <<<<Somewhere along the lines of that... Not my fault you wasted $60 on this trash like I did.

Thank god Gamestop is doing the 50% extra trade in credit. Gonna get most of my money back.
