Why We Love… A Gap In A Fence (And S.T.A.L.K.I.N.G.)

Dealspwn uses a gap in a railway fence to illustrate why they love S.T.A.L.K.E.R.'S nonlinear gameplay and scavenging mechanics.

Dealspwn writes: "It’s the devil’s own choice… but then then you spot something out of the corner of your eye. A patch of sky where there should be a barbed wire fence. Hoping beyond hope, you heave yourself up the embankment with your last ounce of strength… and there, as a single ray of light in your bleak and hopeless adventure, is a gap in the fence. You’ll be home soon.

If you haven’t worked it out already, I’m referring to S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow Of Chernobyl… but I don’t really love the gap itself. Rather, I love what it represents: meaningful choice and roughing it."

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. can't say enough about this series as it brings together FPS, RPG, Survival horror game play perfectly into a HUGE sandbox world.

having to make a tough decision when finding a new set of body Armour like do i hide one of my heavier weapons (that i just paid $9000 to repair and modify) or dump some food, radiation kits, and bandages cause i need to be light enough to run fast and long distances from the Pseudo Dogs cause I'm too low on ammo to fight and i feel a Blowout is gonna happen any minute. Not too mention you gotta decide quick because a Controller is getting close.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. is what single player gaming is all about!
