Yeah I got $40 ready to use instantly. The free games won't hurt anyone a bit.

I agree with their concerns up to a point. It's the same argument that's frequently levelled at Xbox Live Arcade, and developers such as Team Meat have suffered because of too many games being released at once.

It's up to Sony to get the word out about the new titles. Considering that they're pretty good at exposing new games on their blog, I'm sure they'll be quick to address this potential problem.

All I know is that Sucker Punch creamed their jeans when they got word iNfamous would be released for free, a week before the sequel.

But it is also possible that the free games will cause people to spend more money on new games.

I plan to get a couple of new games even with the release of the Playstation Welcome back package and I'm pretty sure many others are just like me. It wont effect anything sales will pick up but seeing as this isn't my or your company I don't see why this is my or anyone else concern

Exactly! For me I already own the free titles I wanted to start with and am not bothered about owning the rest as they simply don't interest me but I will be buying Under Siege and I've just received Dirt 3
