Screw the law! Put it on anyway. Is the voice actor really going to cry because their contract is now void?

“In some cases, the company that we did things with is gone, but that doesn’t mean that somebody doesn’t own the rights and couldn’t come after us"... How does anyone but Capcom have the rights to this game?

Confused by this whole process. Square Enix haven't had this trouble releasing their games a thousand times (exaggeration).

but all the S-E re-releases are from old games with no voice-acting.

But anyway, this response pretty much confirms that the only way to preserve gaming history is through illegal emulation. Because I bet there are other companies like Capcom scared of re-releasing certain old tittles because of the "law".

This game was a classic. Hopefully there will still be a chance down the line but I don't like this news.
