Sony are giving gamers the chance to send there spare power to medical research laboratorys. Sounds interesting.
When the first XBox came out I heard that Movie studios were using it to render CGI movies. And I still didn't buy one. Should this make go crazy and buy a PS3? riiiiiiiiiiggggggghhhhhhhhtttt t.
yeah and PS3 can be used as a toilet. This article is stupid. The Cell is used for medical stuff but saying the PS3 does
It can aslo be used for grilling. And the Sony Root Kits will provide pop-up ads during game play, while you wait for the slow transfer speed of the Betaray player to load your game.
Google allows my computer to do the same thing big whoop!
Yeah Ken! You and Kaz are the best!! Buy a ps3 and it will cure hiv/aids and cancer!! With a small interest in gaming!!!! lol!
too bad it does everything but play games.
why don't they worry about getting the damn thing out before telling us what esle it can do...jees.
Nine first comments are pure PS3 bashing. Nice going peeps (-,-)b
No, theyre telling the truth, this is retarded. Number 5 isnt bashing it, hes just correct. Google does allow you to sync up your computer and help out with calculations.
Syphilus and Gonnorhea. I Should Know i had it.
Sony is behind this B.S. 100% because it gives them free positive publicity AND it gives them an opportunity to sell another PS3 once the initial one burns out and the warranty is voided for running an "unauthorized" program, because, do you think for one second that Sony is going to accept returns when the cpu is burned out because some greenpeace idealist ran his PS3 for 86 hours straight at 100% capacity? This is not a bash against Sony, it's a bash against the idea. The same idea was presented for the 360 as well. The Drug companies invent BILLIONS into research for cures for just about everything. The government invests BILLIONS of dollars into medical research. It is unecessary for consumers to pony up computer time on their game machines for the big drug companies. In the end, it seems like a nice idea, but as a consumer you would have no recourse if your PS3 blew out because it was overloaded processing the cure to "x". The only recouse would to Pony up another $600.
