Killer instinct may be a bit too wacky for nowadays standards.

Personally i would like it if the series would reboot in a more serious flavor, to compete with Mortal Kombat.

I think if they broguth it back out, it would definitely have a more serious tone to it. Killer instinct is one of my favorite fights.

The Killer Instinct series is my favourite fighter of all time. The combo system was easy and fun, you didn't have to be a pro to pull off a "killer" combo. Also, the counter system in KI2 was pretty solid. I love how every special move could be countered by another, which makes the game more strategic.

I enjoyed each character. None felt more overpowered then the next. The bosses were FAIR and fun to play against. You didn't have to SPAM projectiles to win, like some other fighters [I won't mention names for sake of stone pelting], you were able to pull off your deadliest combo at times, but make a mistake and you'll feel the consequences.

The story was a bit drab, but who really pays attention to stories in fighters? I just wanna fight. And I didn't even pay attention to KI's story, I was just having blast breaking combo's. ^_^

I think today, KI2 even looks like it could pass for this gen, it's fast, edgy, a bit comical yes, but I think the gameplay trumps any nitpicky flaws this game may have.

I think only fans of the Killer Instinct series can truly appreciate how good this game is and was at the time. During the mid 90's when MK and SF were battling it out for supremecy, in walks in KI which personally, blew them both out of the park. I enjoyed SF and still do, but I feel that MK plays a bit 'robotic' for my taste. I think you'll see what I mean with the vid below.

I love KI, and until KI3 [one can hope] no other fighter [for me] can take its place.

Enjoy this vid. LoL!

yeah they were such good and fun games but they never really reached the mainstream audience. Killer Instinct was widely known and respected.

Killer instinct is great, especially on snes but it’s not the most underrated fighter.. for me it’s Power Stone. So much potential in this series

Jawsh66662d ago

Bloody Roar was a game that had a sick concept but wasn’t made the best. I’d say Killer Instinct was the opposite of that, it was well made but the roster of characters were so similar to every other fighting game in that era that it ended up feeling like more of the same. I could be wrong that’s just how I remember it at the time and I played a ton of KI on SNES because it was one of the first games I owned.

PRIMORDUS63d ago

I loved this game in the arcade, my main was Jago, Ultra Combo!!! https://www.youtube.com/wat...

DivineHand12561d ago

That combo was way overkill 😂

PRIMORDUS61d ago

I know haha, I loved Jago.

Bathyj63d ago

You're kidding?
It enjoyed probably more success than it deserved.
Unlike Tobal 2

MeteorPanda62d ago

Tobal 2 was awesome. Sold really well cause art similarity to dragon ball

jjb198162d ago

I remember trying my hardest to learn that "Ultra... Ultra.... Ultra...." finish. Such a great fighting game.

Popsicle62d ago (Edited 62d ago )

I can tell you definitely got some SNES time in. The slight differences in the ports due to hardware constraints were interesting. For example, the arcade version was Ultraaaa Coooommboooooooo! versus Ultra….Ultra….Ultra on the SNES.

Though SNES overachieved as a port for as demanding as a game KI was.The arcade version was one of the first cabinets with a dedicated hard drive and the SNES version was 32 megabyte cartridge which was huge for that system at the time.

jjb198161d ago

Yeah, for sure. My local childhood arcade was always packed and it was hard to get a game in but once the SNES version came out, I was hooked. I can still feel the click of the power button.

Modern Warfare 3 flooded with cheaters after arrival on Xbox Game Pass

Players are using hacks to gain an advantage in the game, such as aimbots and wall hacks. The first gives a player superhuman aiming abilities, while a wall hack lets you see through walls to gauge where other players are.

“These hacks are typically used by PC players, but those playing on PC via Xbox Game Pass are identified as Xbox players in multiplayer lobbies.”

This is pretty dumb to say the least.

Cacabunga325d ago

All about them headshots for Xbox

badz149325d ago

Gotta pump those numbers up

blackblades325d ago

That's a WTF, they suppose to be labeled as pc users even if its on PC game pass. They mess that up big time.

XiNatsuDragnel325d ago

Oh bad this will be entertaining to watch

ZycoFox325d ago

If AI keeps getting better (and it will) it's just a matter of time before there's more sophisticated cheats even for consoles, and they wouldn't even need to be running on it, I have little doubt about that.

lelo2play325d ago

Don't Gamepass online games have anti-cheat systems?
If not, that's pretty dumb. Microsoft need to fix that asap.

Rynxie325d ago (Edited 325d ago )

They won't ever fix this problem, unless they (developers, publishers, Sony and MS) go after the cheat providers directly. You no longer need to hack consoles to use hacks. During the ps360 days, they were going after cheat devices, but it was a cat and mouse game. These cheating methods were around during those days, it's nothing new, but they kept it under control. Since the PS4/Xbox one generation, they stopped going after these cheating devices and it became widespread. Which I find odd, since they started charging for online play (PS4).

StormSnooper325d ago (Edited 325d ago )

Possibly, this is because the companies were going after cheats because the same cheats were being used to pirate the games, whereas today, the companies use online verification to prevent piracy, thus eliminating the need to go after people who cheat only to gain an advantage in the game. As long as the cheater remains below the radar, and does not completely break the game, the companies look the other way as their wallets are not threatened by it. (that is my completely Uneducated opinion on the matter)

pwnmaster3000325d ago

I mean, COD games was always filled with hackers, nothing new. I can’t blame MS on this. Activision had years to try and fix this. Might take MS some time to make some change.

Rude-ro325d ago

It all depends…
Microsoft’s guidance on how to handle gamepass on pc and their love to force crossplay with pc seems like a them issue.
And they own activision, so it is still a them issue.

StormSnooper325d ago

lol well that sucks.

Is there a reason this happened upon arrival on xbox?
