D+PAD Magazine writes:
This is going to sound rather odd, but we enjoy Operation Flashpoint: Red River for the exact same reasons why we don’t. We admire Codemasters for sticking to their well-simulated, one-hit-kill guns as opposed to venturing down the road which so many first person shooters seem to be going nowadays, that which we call the ‘One Man Army Syndrome’. Sure, it’s only natural that games deliver a sense of empowerment to the player, as that is one of their core functions, and will remain so. What is getting a bit out of hand, however, is how the pacing of shooters must remain at a white-hot breakneck dash through dozens – no, hundreds and hundreds – of enemies.
Green Man Gaming are yet again offering more than just a sale with a breadth of bundles to take your breath away! They released two games bundles featuring Codemasters and Digital Tribes. Also discounted are Thief, Thief : Master Thief Edition, Bioshock Infinite and Murdered Soul Suspect at 75% off.
Some mediocre - crap games there. Couldn't even include any Codemasters racing games? It's the only thing they're good at.
Even though it's still technically a good deal, the whole $5 or £4 thing annoys me. Humble bundle doesn't do this. No thanks.
You can pay what you want for Overlord, its Raising Hell DLC, Operation Flashpoint: Red River, Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising, and Rise of the Argonauts. Paying $6 or more gets you Overlord II, DiRT Showdown, and DiRT 3.
Mobile & Apps: "One of the most underrated shooters of the previous generation was Operating Flashpoint: Red River for the Xbox 360, PS3, and PC. With all its problems, I believe this is a game that is worth playing, however, it is not too hard to see why the game didn't quite kick off, as it should have."
Loved this game, it was dumbed down from Dragon Rising but still an enjoyable game. Was still offputting to people looking for instant/non stop action
Ha! Some colleagues and I are actually planning on hitting this one up tonight. Great game.
