Wii Virtua Tennis 4 Hampered By Kinect and Move

Andy Robertson writes: "Virtua Tennis 4 motion controls create enjoyable family moments. These are hampered by the one-size-fits-all approach that hampers the Wii implementation because of the Kinect/Move limitations (such as only supporting two players)."

LMFAO! The title made me laugh aloud. Nothing, I repeat "NOTHING" on Xbox 360 or PS3 could hamper design on the antiquated Wii.

Literally the stupidest thing I've heard on here and this is N4G - home of crazy fanboy articles.

Agreed, move is everything Wii is and then some. Only Kinect's limitations could have hampered it, being that it only supports 2 players and isn't as accurate.

Its stating that th core experience is the same across all 3 motion controlled devices. The difference was that the author wanted 4 player access for Motion mode which should have been a no brainer on the Wii.

i dont see how the wii was hampered back in any way other than the xbox kinect, the wii m+ and move are about equal (i said about, so dont bitch at me :) ) they sould have just developed it for wii and move :)

paulgovan4725d ago

There is only two player on all three platforms when the Wii could handle four players.

Wait till Wii2 its said to have even better motions than M+/Move from the off and it will support at least 4 players then u have the best traditional controls with 6.2 inch HD screen not to mention a revamped HD 4850 that supports DX10.1/SM 4.1 ect Wii2 will own the HARDCORE market weather u PS3/360 fans like it or not
900mhz gpu
SM 4.1
DX 10.1
2 gig RAM
8 gig flash
Triple core cpu clocked at 3.6ghz minimum

all optimized 4 console will perform like the most powerful PC

Sega sells Relic and will cut 240 jobs across UK studios

GamesIndustry.biz writes: "Relic is best known for the Company of Heroes and Dawn of War games, and recently developed the new Age of Empires for Microsoft. Relic will transition to an independent studio and will no-longer be part of the Sega group of studios.

The majority of the 240 job cuts are across Creative Assembly and Sega Europe, while there will be a ‘small number’ cut from Sega HARDLight. There was no mention of other Sega UK studios, including Two Point Studios and Sports Interactive."

Shame about Creative Assembly, they should have just been allowed to do an Alien Isolation sequel.

just_looken26d ago

It was that garbage coh 3 that did them in only a special team can make a sequel worse in every way even though it was a 10 year gap and the same era.

gold_drake27d ago

I hope they find new jobs in the industry soon.

Jingsing27d ago

Two Point Studios and Sports Interactive probably run on a shoe string budget so that fits into SEGA better lol

Sega had such a turbulent existence from the mid-90s to when they dropped out of console manufacturing entirely in 2001, it’s understandable if you’ve never heard of the Genesis Nomad.
