Can't wait to 100% this game. How do side quests work with the 360 version being spread across 3 discs? Are they going to mess with the PS3 version to coincide with the 360 disc swapping pace? I sure hope not.

aaabbbccc43244728d ago

you only change disc when you start a new case

NukaCola4728d ago

I don't think you get it. When FFXIII came out, SE tries to lock and unlock sidequests to coincide with the pacing of the 360 version having to swap discs. It sucks that they are still on DVDs, but I want a full complete game, and don't want my version messed with on the sake of "equality" or "fairness". I don't want side quests perminently locked if I don't complete one but complete the main game past 30% (As the 360 gamers will miss out on sidequests on the first disc if they progress to far into the story and have to move to the next disc.)

DigitalRaptor4728d ago

I agree. It's really fucked up when they have to change the story/pacing/content because of issues with another platform.

It's really a worse thing than people think it is.

DelbertGrady4728d ago

"I agree. It's really fucked up when they have to change the story/pacing/content because of issues with another platform."

Rockstar themselves say they won't. Who's your source? Disc swapping is tied to the story missions and won't affect free roam or side quests. Either you guys are real slow or you're just trolling.

Convas4728d ago (Edited 4728d ago )

@Delbert: Their trolling bro. Speaking out of their asses as usual. Team Bondi already stated that the world and the sidecases and everything else is on EACH disc. Meaning you don't need to swap discs to access this features.

The disc swapping if for the cases themselves, meaning that on 360 the game is a 3 part, it'll let you know when part one is finished and that it's time for part two.

I'm buying the PS3 version by the way noobs, so come at me if your will.

Everything looks pretty good exept driving mechanics, they shoud've taken MAFIA II simulation aproach.

YodaCracker4728d ago

When it comes to open world games, GTA IV and Mafia II have my favorite driving physics. Both are realistic; the cars feel like they actually have weight and they bounce around on their suspension as they rock over bumps and around turns.

If L.A. Noire's driving physics are like either of those games, then I'll be satisfied. Please no archaic Saints Row-like physics (AKA PS2 physics).

holy poop i was kinda taking a back seat on this one but after watching that vid i've seen the light, think i might go get this now "nice vid by the way"

MasterCornholio4728d ago

I think i have seen this video before. Looks great on the PS3 despite what fanboys say

YodaCracker4728d ago

Fanboys said it didn't look good on the PS3? We've only seen PS3 footage so far...

Heres some comments

Disturbing Flame

"Maybe Rockstar didn't show XBOX 360 version, not because it was inferior to PS3 one but maybe they didn't want to make angry PS3 users by confronting them to reality and lose customers, they can also have a contract with Sony that push them to show only PS3 version for the moment"

thespaz

"Looks way better than the PS3 version. "

Omega360

" Its going to stink on the PS3 because of how bad the RSX is. We all know that the PS3 has inferior hardware to the 360 which is why all multiplats are better on the 360. PS3 exclusives dont count because the devs use smoke and mirrors to mask the flaws that the game has"

PurpleAssasin

" The 360 versions looks so much better. Especially with the textures and the smoother framerate"

Elitereacharound

"Its a multiplat of course its going to be horrible on the PS3. Its impossible for the PS3 to have a better game than the 360 because of the 256MB of memory"

Just some example from people across the net. I got these comments from several forums across the net.

L.A. Noire And Bully — Rockstar's Lost Gems That Deserve A Sequel As Much As GTA

Hanzala from eXputer: "I do appreciate GTA 6, Rockstar, but if I could trade it for a new L.A. Noire or a Bully game, I'd do so in a heartbeat."

Skuletor18d ago

How are they lost? You can get L.A. Noire on Steam, PS5, Xbox Series and Nintendo Switch and Bully is on the PS5 and Xbox Series too.

Psychonaut8518d ago

I want a new Manhunt game. But that will never happen.

Demetrius17d ago

Mfs are too sensitive nowadays and would cry instead of being concerned bout real world problems

Demetrius17d ago

Whenever gta 6 launch we won't be getting another rockstar title for another 10 years lol but on the positive side they bou to come back n show how open world supposed to be done 🔥

Skuletor17d ago

I won't expect any singleplayer DLC like IV's The Lost & Damned or The Ballad of Gay Tony after it launches either

12 Years Later, L.A. Noire is Still an Excellent Experience

There was a lot to love about Rockstar and Team Bondi's 2011 open world title.

One I never finished. I've been looking at the ps4 version off Amazon the last few months just never bit

Knightofelemia122d ago

It's worth playing LA Noire is one of my favorite Rockstar games. But I would also check out pawnshops or thrift stores if you want the game dirt cheap. Someone may have been dumb enough to dump the game.

andy85122d ago

Baffles me when people have these opinions about acclaimed games 😂

RhinoGamer88123d ago

100% agree... not perfect, but an engaging/refreshing experience.

sagapo123d ago

Agree, at time of release those facial expressions were amazing! They still hold strong even today imo.
The game on its own was good. Something fresh, but sidequests were a bit meh after a while.

Nacho_Z123d ago

I picked it up on sale recently, going to play it next summer. I'll get more out of it this time, first time around I treated the open world like it was GTA and goofed about, whereas now I'll play it with more respect. RDR2 has trained me well.

I also hadn't read Raymond Chandler at the time so presumably that'll add another layer of enjoyment too.

1nsomniac123d ago (Edited 123d ago )

Absolutely stunning game. So underrated. Played through it again last year and it still stands up so well. Like many of rockstars games it’s actually a far better experience on PC. I didn’t enjoy it as much on console. Completed it at least 3 times on pc.

The rumours of a sequel are awesome news despite the fact I think Rockstar are now the shell of the company they once were.

SyntheticForm123d ago

Team Bondi made a hell of a game.

Six Best Historically Accurate Games

GF365: "Out of the many historically accurate games out there, these are our picks for the six best games that are historically accurate. While these games aren't completely accurate, they depict the times and situations of history well. Plus, they're all a lot of fun to play, too."

Historically accurate from the past is tough to truly know and judge especially the farther you go back because history is written from the people in power and doesn’t mean it’s the truth just the narrative they wanted to tell.

I don’t care about historically accurate in most games because they are games not biographies or history books . Just make the game fun , good gameplay and such .

Ghost of Tsushima wasn’t historically accurate in many things but I loved the game . Many examples like it .
