Sorry, but I didn't see a Silent Hill game there.

Care to elaborate on what was so "not Silent Hill" about it?

From all the interviews, these devs seem to really have a good grasp on the heart of the series. Yes, they're bringing in some modern touches with the new camera angles, etc., but I think it's a little ridiculous to write the game off already.

What you just said there, is the same kind of stuff that was being said before Homecoming came out.

Was he fighting the monsters with a chair? What was that? Dead Rising? SD vs RAW?

For god's sake Konami, open those damn eyes... The only studio doing anything good for Konami is Kojima Productions, and that's not just because the man is a genius, but because Kojima managed to save many talented people for his studio while Konami was abosrving and destroying all of it's former subsidiaries all along the last decade.

I can't remember one good game from Konami since 2005 that hasn't come from Kojima Productions... I'm one of those fans of PES that hates FIFA and even that is getting ridiculousbad quality. Konami needs to realize that it was the people on KCET studios' commitment to make the games they loved that ended up with happy gamers and one rich company, not the "made to sell western formula", this won't bring them any beyong from were they are now.

Shame we can't have Team Silent back... Konami was the one pushing them out and bringing Climax and Double Helix to the scenario, a more "westernized" game sporting tough guys as leading characters was exactly what Konami wanted for some reason we may never know...

The only hope? Now that Kojima is the VP of the Digital Entertainment branch of Konami Corp. (the guys who make decisions about games) or once he is promoted to President (shouldn't take long too) maybe he can talk some sense into the company and bring the development of the great Konami's franchises back to it's homeland, maybe handle them in his own studio.

In case you guys missed it and don't get what I meant for Konami wanting a western Silent Hill...

he's not a genius he's just a hack who provides very little gameplay in his work instead focusing on super long cutscenes with poorly writting script and convulted story I don't know why people are kissing his ass when he is pretty much an asshole thinks he like better then any other developer out there thank god he had very little to do with Castlevania LOS

You guys have seen absolutely nothing about the game and you claim its not Silent Hill. Give it some time E3 will make you see it. Looking pretty good to me.

Silent Hill came before Alan Wake. So who is copying who?

Give em the chair!!!... What they described in the Game Informer article about Downpour sounds like Silent Hill to me. It's worth a read if you are looking forward to this game. Yet ANOTHER reason I'm lookin forward to watching E3 on G4 playas

n4gisatroll3018d ago

Ya I read that, I'm excited for it. I'm sure at e3 we'll see some good stuff.
