Games testers: the games journalists of the development process

It’s not uncommon to find someone who makes a piece of art and then hates how it is received in the critical world: in fact, it is almost mundanely common. You can argue, of course, that the person who is criticising the piece of work is actually unqualified to criticise that work. That is known as an ad hominem argument, and is largely regarded as being unuseful: you have not addressed the argument at large, only the person making the argument.
