NowGamer: Obsidian Entertainment CEO Feargus Urquhart has discussed the the possibility of making a sequel to Planescape: Torment. “There are almost no games in my past that I wouldn’t want to go back and make a sequel to. It’s hard though".
Even though it's my favorite RPG ever, I'm dubious.
All it takes to severely cripple the game is to voice it completely. Gamers today expect voice acting. But how expensive is it to do that for a game famous for having one of the most lengthy scripts known to gaming?
If they can solve this acceptably, I'll be on board.
Make it happen!
Offtopic: I'm still waiting on a remake/continuation of NOX (I know it's a game from a different developer, but still in the RPG realm).
Ok, now we are talking really serious business.
AD&D is a great background. With a great scenario and mechanics, a new Plaescape would be easily one of the best or the best RPG of this decade.
That would be awesome but there would be huge expectations.
Holy!!! Planescape torment....Man! That's daddy of rpgs.
OMG OMG....PLEASE PLEAAAAAAAAAAAAASE PLEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAASE
Bring it....i'll pay 200$ to play it..
The question is, how will Chris Avellone and the team will work out this story..it will be hard to pick up a continuation from the previous game.
