Special vest lets players feel video game blows

A vest designed by doctor Mark Ombrellaro uses air pressure and feedback from computer games to deliver pneumatic thumps to the spots on players' torsos where they would have been struck were they actually on the battlefields.

The "3rd Space" vest will make its US debut in November at a price of 189 dollars. It will be launched with the first-person shooter game "Call of Duty" and a custom-made title.

now all they need is air pressured pants, few shots to the nuts and they go down in real life...not in-game though but u can finish em off when he's disabled.

You know? If they made the blows actually hurt, you know how awesome that would be?

Example 1: You're playing Gears of War, you're taking cover, gunfire all around you, it's really going to make you think twice about popping out knowing if you play stupidly, you'll actually feel pain.

Example 2: Want to humiliate your friend? Get behind him and start nailing him in the back with shots from a machine gun. BANG BANG BANG! He'll feel so inclined to get you back to make you feel what you just gave to him. It would inspire feelings of vengeance, or it would actually make you take care and play properly.

It'll never become big, but it WOULD be awesome if 1: It was well implemented, and 2: It actually hurt.

<sarcasm> The next step: Gun shots wounds that feel like gunshots and put you in a coma </sarcasm>

Uh this thing came out already, it was called the Aura Interactor, except it worked with a built in sub to make you feel "hits" etc. This stupid kid tried to convince my friend that he had bite marks on his body from wearing it after Liu Kang did the dragon fatality on him in MKII.
