IGN - Road to E3 2011: The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword

IGN - So far we know that Skyward Sword will be making use of Wii Motion Plus for one-to-one swordplay, as well as for using certain other items and for things like puzzle solving and mini-games. We also know that Skyward Sword takes place sometime before Ocarina of Time, and features the oldest Link yet (who comes from the land of Skyloft, which rests high above the clouds).

I really wished Nintendo would just wait to release this game with the Wii2. The Wiimote on the regular Wii was a really bad experience for me. Not because it didn't work, but because it just plain ol sucked. I mean, if it was real 1:1 motion, which the Wii can never really do, it just doesn't feel natural. The move controller, with analog stick, and navigator would be pretty sick, but neither the wiimote or the PSmove have what it takes to justify using them over a regular controller.

What makes you think "wii2" will make it more natural.
The problem is there is no feedback on collision. What are you expecting from "wii2"?

True :( I really wish they'd come up with a new IP aswell,, Let poor old Link, Samus Aran and those plumbers rest this gen for christ's sake,, Sony had Jak, Ratchet and Sly, now they have Drake, Hale and Cole, Microsoft had Master chief and Marcus fenix and now they have uhm,, Well Master chief and Marcus fenix <_< I'd love to see totally different IP's from Nintendo's new console instead of just another huge console milking Mario and Link :( (Sorry for getting a little off topic :D)

Let them rest?
Their old IPs have nothing to do with creating new ones. I don't see how anyone benefits from it if they don't make new games with their old characters.
