Nolan North seems like a super nice guy! And does a cracking job as the voice of Nathan Drake in the Uncharted series. Problem is, he also does the voice for around a million other characters, and it can sometimes get very distracting.
thats not a bad thing in movies they hire the famous actors or actress to me in movies so what if hes in alot of games thats a good thing he is a great voice actor so having him in many games isnt bad.
There is a line, though. If he does too many things than when U3 comes around it will be like getting married after having a marathon with 100 (sweatin') hookers (in church nyuk nyuk), it just wont mean as much.
I didn't say hes reached that line, though. I haven't noticed him around much, I just want to remember Nathan Drake as Nathan Drake
that's how you notice spoiled brats even ... they dont appreciate quality and nitpick , when not even more than aa decade ago we had for 90% of games , that kind of things : http://www.youtube.com/watc...
Yeah, he was a defective turret voice, wasn't he? I saw it in the credits. Never realised at the time.
But he is in a lot of stuff. Just imdb him if you want a list. That said he's a great voice actor but to me he will always be more nathan drake than anything else.
well i noticed him in assassin's creed, prince of persia, and halo odst. thats only 3 games, and besides he usually isnt a lead role so you have less opportunity to hear him.
He doesn't use the same voice for most parts or anything so it's unlikely many are going to notice.
Only ones he uses his default voice in that I have personally noticed are Prince of Persia, Singularity (where he dies half an hour in anyway) and Uncharted.
The only time I've ever noticed his voice overlap is in Assassins Creed and Uncharted. Never noticed his voice in Gears, Final Fantasy, heck he sounds quite different in Marvel Vs. Capcom 3 as well. Haters gonna hate. The article writer is clearly jealous
As many have said, I only noticed the same voice in Uncharted and Assassin's Creed. I'm sure he does a lot more we wouldn't recognize because he's a talented guy thats good at his job. If you like, we could take every game down to the old Capcom quality...
I may have heard him other places but those are the main places I can remember. its not that much really. Its probably only noticeable for most people if they play his games back to back.
It wouldn't bother me so much if he didn't seem to play the same kind of character in every game. I'm pretty sure White Knight Chronicles is his only significant role where he isn't some Nathan Drake-a-like. At least from what I've played.
I was immediately disappointed with Ubisoft for picking Nolan as the Sarcastic Arabian Prince. I didn't work for me at all. The Character was identical to drake in almost all aspects! They should have just named the dam game "Prince of Uncharted" Anyway,Nolan North will always be Drake to me, just like Christopher Sabat will always be Vegeta and Piccolo.
I don't even notice so i don't really care

And yet no-one complains when Cam Clarke was in "everything" in his hey day...
This is like the royal wedding
