Games are about social achievements, right? About goals, fulfillment, and making us feel powerful and happy? And yet video game lies are a part of the culture. Today, it's time to come clean.
Sony has quietly lifted regional restrictions on multiple PlayStation titles on Steam, allowing more players to access their games worldwide.
Thank you for using the term "region" since that was always what happened. The amount of media that used the term country led to many misinformed people.
According to SteamDB Statistics:
"The use of the word "subdivisions" below refers to states, provinces, regions and other categories."
"Totals
As of december 2017, there are 250 countries, 4024 subdivisions and 45261 cities in Steam's location data."

I remember a guy I knew in school who had Crash Bandicoot 3. He told me that he had done EVERYTHING in the game and got everything. And then he made the mistake of saying I probably wasn't good enough to do it.
Well it just so happens that my mom's boyfriend at the time HAD Crash Bandicoot 3. So, I then spent the entire 3-day weekend (I was off for something) playing Crash 3 non-stop from beginning to end. And I mean EVERYTHING; all the crystals, all the gems, all the relics. I even did levels 26-30 and 31-32, which ANOTHER friend told me how to get to before. I was a really obsessive kid...
Anyway, by Monday I had gotten 104% completion. I brought the Memory Card to school and then went to his house after school to show him I did everything.
And then I saw his save file.
He had 40% game completion, he was only at level 22 (or maybe 23. Whichever one had you in the plane), and he only had maybe 2 or 3 gems. I never wanted to punch somebody so badly in my life. I got to make fun of him mercilessly for it for years after, though.
Welp, that's my story. Same guy also said he revived Aeris on Disc 3, but I don't think ANYBODY believed him then.
Why is it being approved now?
