Let’s talk game theory.

No, not that game theory – rather, let’s talk about the underlying philosophy of efficient game design. In particular, the design of learning curves. Let’s start at the beginning: any conventional game (in other words, one that has at a minimum some degree of human interaction and a set number of “victory conditions”) will fall somewhere on a spectrum of skill and luck.
