glad to see pgr 4 in top 30, good going for a 360 game in japan.

Lair did well considering the reviews it got.

Edit: lost a bubble for sayin good job for pgr 4, some people need to get a life

lonestarmt4021d ago

actually all the japanese reviewers actually liked the game. The game isn't a 8 but its not filth like some people make it out to be. Give it a try at least.

DEADEND4022d ago

I guess they love LAIR over there in Japan.

Skerj4022d ago

Wouldn't that be freaking hilarious if Lair went to sell a ton of copies on Japan?

Zhuk4022d ago

they mustn't been able to read the reviews in english, they're in for a shock when they play the game and find out its an artistic abortion

wildcat4022d ago (Edited 4022d ago )

They read Famitsu. English isn't the only language.

Is Lair available in AU yet?

I just rented Lair this week. All I can say is that I'm not sure if I'm playing the same game that the reviewers have been talking about. The games not perfect but to give it the scores that it received is a shame. If I can't beat it before it's due back then I'm definitely going to buy it. I personally love the controls. If the 180 turn was a button and it had a map I wouldn't have many negative things to say about the game. I'm really enjoying the game but then again I love to experiment with new things. If your games have to a certain way then don't bother but if you're open minded then give it a try.

If you are a Xbox fanboy reviewer at sites like EGM, 1Up, that nutcase Rob Smith at PSM, and others Lair is the type of game that you wake up screaming about in the middle of the night. Second only to Killzone 2 on the Xbox fanboy hit list.

The game has insane amounts of stuff going on in gigantic worlds(no stupid tiny corridors with a two to five guys onscreen at once in gimped games like Gears of War)

Running at 1080p natively and 30fps.

On top of that the level sizes are larger than a single layer 360 DVD.

Lair makes a mockery of every idiotic claim about next gen storage sizes and the 360 being anywhere near the PS3 in graphics performance.

Lair must be trashed without mercy by the Xbox fanbase and reviewers.

And then you have the spot on motion controls and now you have Wii-nuts feeling threatened and wanting to join in on trashing the game.

Pathetic and sad.

The game is amazing to see in person on a giant 1080p TV. The score is absolutely amazing. Tons of stuff to unlock on the giant BluRay disc. Tons of replayability for the missions. Very nice and extensive training missions that cover all aspects of the game are available but not really needed. You tilt the controller and the dragon goes in that direction pretty much sums of the majority of Lair controls.

The only reason not to pick up the game for PS3 owners is if you are still on a crappy sub-1080p TV or just don't like dragons.

hmm you can hardly find any open minded people nowadays, so good to see, that you are one of them :) most people are like sheep, that will swallow all the MS marketing bull like Halo 3 etc. :(

Must admit i was slight dissapointed with Lair when I put it on but got use to the controls and loved it, had to order a copy from the US. UK delayed until November due to rumoured non axis controls.

Played it through the PSP so it must be possible.

The hype was the main part of the dissapointment, I had the same issue with Halo3 which I ditched for PGR4(excellent) pretty quickly.

nothing open-minded about it... yes the controls were hit or miss with alot of people. I personally liked the controls it was the overall gameplay that was the real fault with lair.
