The Top 5 Hardest Bosses

JD: Killzone 2 is a perfect example of a game featuring a final boss that all but breaks the system. The game can be played on normal setting and give most players a solid challenge. There are a couple hairy spots that will require a few attempts to get past, but a little perseverance should do the trick. Then you get to the end of the game and can't help but wonder who cranked up the difficulty to "Why!?" when you weren't paying attention. The road leading into the battle with Radec and the swarms of enemies you must face before the big guy actually appears are insane.

Don't mean to ruin your article but Sephiroth is a piece of piss compared to the side bosses...FF always has harder side bosses normally called "***** weapon" which are way harder than the end boss

despair2752d ago (Edited 2752d ago )

Sephiroth wasn't anything compared to the weapons side bosses, he was a SOB in Kingdom Hearts though.

And Alma, I never understood why people thought she was super hard, couple times I got some worries but nothing that stumped me for more than a couple tries max and I've played both versions of Ninja Gaiden on the original Xbox and Sigma...oh and I am just of average skill in the game, not like I beat it on master ninja or something.

limewax2752d ago

Sephiroth is on there? lol. I guess my personal toughest bosses list might do a bit better,

Last Remnants - The Fallen/Demigod or Conqueror.

FF12's Omega Weapon

FFX's Dark Aeons

Im sure I could think of much tougher but they, off the top of my head, gave me some rough times, As have NG games. The final boss of NG2 kept me busy thanks to having hardly any health and no healing items or money

Shao Kahn isn't hard. He's broken and/or cheap.
Guilty Gear XX Slash's Order-Sol on highest diff is the purest thing separating true gamers from kids.

Radec wasn't hard at all...

Alma? Killed her without being hit. I don't get the whole "holy shit Alma kicks ass" thing. But then again, I played the game with initial HP without upgrading through most of the game.

And Sephy in FF7? He isn't much of a challenge on 3x level(checked myself).

IMO(opinion) it's a weak list.

I don't consider RPG bosses hard, it's too easy to grind the difficulty down. But personally, I wouldn't know what were the hardest bosses for me.

I'd add Krizalid Kof'99 on level-8(arcade) as my hardest boss and my favourite at the same time, after I met him, but the more I played the easier he got and eventaully he had nothing on my dream team.

cr33ping_death2752d ago

seriously compared to the WEAPON enemies.Sephiroth is a kitten.

FACTUAL evidence2752d ago

Azazel from tekken 6 is a bitch.

InLaLaLand2752d ago

I was about to say Nancy but both are bad.

jaosobno2752d ago

Hell, these guys are pussies and Alma was simply cheap fight (just like shao khan).

How 'bout False King Allant from Demon's Souls?

You know, that god-looking, hyperfast boss that could lower your soul level and kill you in one precise attack.

Or "please spare me" Flamelurker when you get his health down to 1/3?

Jonah_Reese2752d ago (Edited 2752d ago )

Radec wasn't that hard, he was a teleporting S.O.B. The hardest boss I remember Was Vergil from DMC 3. Hades on Chaos difficulty GoW3.

@Factualevidence that's because he ignored all of the rules set by the game's creators, which was frustrating on it's.

perdie2752d ago

OMG! Hades was so freaking amazingly tough on chaos, I almost quit the game when I got there and was dreading it before because he was tough on titan.

specialguest2751d ago

I played and finished KZ2 twice, and I don't recall Radec being hard to beat. The person who wrote this article doesn't know what hard is.

Blad3star2752d ago (Edited 2752d ago )

TK and Sullivan from Dead Raising 2 were kind of hard.

InLaLaLand2752d ago

The TK battle was annoying due to Chuck not having anything. Most of the Psychopaths in Dead Rising 2 were no-selling (wrestling term) fucks.

nanometric2751d ago

I guess no one has ever played SMT: Digital Devil Saga 2 on the PS2 and unlocked the secret boss "Satan". Look it up, that fraker is unbelievable.

Radec was a b**** especially on the hardest difficulty best way to beat him was have you're back up against the the wall and when he would appear mow him down with an LMG.

news4geeks2752d ago (Edited 2752d ago )

Radec was easy on the hardest difficulty. It was the parts building up to the fight that were really tough.

Downtown boogey2752d ago (Edited 2752d ago )

I consider the fight to consist of all that too (not just the 1 on 1 with Radec, but whenever he's around).

mephixto2752d ago (Edited 2752d ago )

Radec was plain stupid at all levels, just use flamethrower and he's done, hes so easy that you can even kill him with a knife

L6RD7BLU32752d ago

there is a trick you can use with the flamethrower if you mange to get him you can see where he vanishes to, it's not all that easy to do though, but it really pays off.

JMyers2752d ago (Edited 2752d ago )

That Radec Fight was hard yes, but the annoying bit was when Rico would gets injured and cries out for help. Only took me four tries on normal.

For me its the Ninja Gaiden Bosses... Jesus, talk about cheap. Also in the recent MK, try beating Shao Khan on Expert. A note to Raam in Gears as well. I think the 8 and 16 bit era had the hardest bosses though.

mamotte2752d ago

Every enemy en the Star Wars Games for SNES on Jedi Difficulty. Even the smaller ones were almost a 1 touch killers.

Ascalon942752d ago

that game is crazy ass hard but so rewarding

warrior99882752d ago

yep after beating the bosses it really feels like an acomplishment unlike any other game maybe monster hunter lol

BlitzAK2752d ago

Demons souls is great, one of the most challenging games, its persuaded me to get Dark Souls.
