I'm not sure what world you live in where a blog expects to make money. It had nothing to do with users not coming. He just got tired of it.

UK Resistance definitely never lacked for viewers. It was running strongly for 15 years, was frequently cited and linked to by Kotaku and Joystick as a news source, won several media awards and was one of the best known non-news gaming blogs.

If you bothered to read the article, or UKR itself, you'd know that the sole reason it got closed down was because the author no longer has any interest with the games industry as it stands today.
