I rarely buy single player games because they don't feel like they are worth the price! Sure the graphic drones will love it, but once I beat a single player game, I probably won't touch it again.

Even when I buy CoD games, I play the single player for a few minutes to see how it looks then it's all multiplayer for the next few months! I finish the single player part whenever I get around to it.

Anyway, couldn't have went down at a worse time! I just convinced myself to buy Socom and wanted to try out that beta. Downloaded everything and then the connection sh*t hit! I was pissed!

I agree, however I think you try Yakuza 4. Although it has a lot of cutscenes the game has a good story. The situation is not as bad as the leap year bug where you could not play anything, that was a pain in the ass at the time. There is a lot of stuff to do on the PS3 in stead of playing MP games.

The bitching is not over not having access to a free service, but that the downtime is most likely the result of beef between hackers and SONY. That is a pretty strong opinion. I'd have to disagree. RDR is a pretty fun game, albeit slightly overrated but pretty damn awesome. LBP1 and 2 are pretty epic for those who like to be creative and honestly something Nintendo needs to look at for future innovation with its Mario franchise.

I have more reasons to start up my PS3 these days than I have to start up my Xbox and if my good friends also owned a PS3 (they are cheap asses) then I would literally only play my Xbox for Xbox exclusives (Halo, Gears). The Xbox obviously has a bit more users and services because it released 1 year before the PS3. PS3 is playing catch-up and is about to catch-up or pass Xbox.

Anyhow, thats just my opinion but I enjoy both my consoles

PSN being down really only affects services that rely on PSN (online multiplayer, PS store, friends). I can still use Netflix and use the PS3 browser. The internet is fine.

People need to chill, the internet still works perfectly on the PS3. I'm confused why people are hating on Sony. If this happened on Xbox, just for comparison purposes, there would be no browsing or Netflix experience.

Japan is having all sorts of power issues (among other things) and Anonymous wants to exact revenge on Sony. So people need to be a bit patient.
