Super Mario Galaxy Hands-On

The Wii doesn't have the graphical might of competing console systems, but there can be no denying Super Mario Galaxy's beauty. Filled with bright colors and reflective, glassy crystals, it's easy to dive into the fantasy. But having cartoon graphics doesn't mean that the game lacks complexity. Since the game takes place off-world, the designers were given license to push their imaginations to the limit. One minigame involves racing atop a giant manta rays over water tracks suspended in mid-air. It's easy to accidentally fly off the race track, since there are no guard rails, especially since the manta gets bumped around by the waves crashing against it.

My top 3 are Mario 3, Mario World and Mario 64. Mario Odyssey is also excellent, and I enjoyed Sunshine but didn't care for the Galaxy series.
