Examiner writes "Razer’s newly released Onza Tournament Edition gamepad is an excellent companion for your gaming PC, perfect for those games that a mouse and keyboard just aren’t the best tools for playing."
The Onza Tournament Edition controller for Xbox 360 is a truly unique controller. It has many features that set it apart from the stock Xbox 360 controller. The price of the controller is $49.99 and is available now right here.
So, what sets this controller apart from the competition, including the Microsoft default controller?
It's a great controller, the only downsides are the cheap rubber for the thumbsticks and the cord. It also takes time to get used too, but its worth it.
@hufandpuf did you get the tournament edition? cuz the cord on mine is braided cloth
My TE controller analog stick messed. Not because I torqued them too far either. I think all the holding forward and clicking the stick in to sprint screwed it up. Now it won't allow me to go forward.
Picked up a Gears 3 controller the day after it failed.
I picked up the TE and I love it but the left analog stick broke, if you were moving forward it kept on 'losing signal' and making the character come to a sudden halt and then carry on moving again, so I got a replacement and the right analog stick kept on twitching randomly :(
It's a great controller... when it works.
I haven't had the above problems, but Razer has good customer service. Sorry to hear your controllers were faulty
Ironhammers: We’re back, guys! And returning to a regular scheduling of live podcasts at 11pm (UK) every single Tuesday night. This week I’m joined by Mr. Scott McGregor (Rabid_Scotsman) of The Gamesmen, as well as Ironhammers’ most recently joined writer, Miss Tina Lauro — and much PC gaming discussion was had.
A review of the new Razer Onza control pad (Tournament Edition)
"they often aren’t the best tools for racing games"
clearly somebody has never used the mouse X axis for steering...
Another bullsh*t review.. I own a Razer Onza TE and it's terrible. I'm sick of listing the reasons why it's so bad, but I will if anyone cares to know. Everyone I've shown mine too has been dismayed at it's lack of quality and poor design.
I want one of these for 360 use (Like hell am I forsaking mouse & Keyboard for PC) but £50 for a wired 360 controller? Thats obscene.
I'm thinking about getting the Logitech Rumble Pad, because I like the feature that lets you choose whether you want to use XInput or Direct Input. Anyone ever use one of these?
