Black Chicken Studios has rolled out another free content-packed update for its wizard study simulation game Academagia – The Making of Mages, available now as an automatic download to owners of the game on Impulse. The v1.3.2.0 patch adds seven new adventures, over two dozen new events, new spells, abilities, items, locations and much more.

Hands up all those who wish they had come up with the idea for Harry Potter? Yeah I thought so, me too. I admit, I liked the books and the child at heart in me wanted to attend Hogwarts and learn the intricacies of magic, so I looked forward to Academagia: The Making of Mages, a text-based RPG, life simulation from the indie developer, Black Chicken. But I think I bit off more than I could chew.
411mania - If you have been following my review history here at 411mania.com you must have figured out that I love text-based games. Usually the text-based games I play are sports/wrestling simulators, which is why Academagia: The Making of Mages proved to be such a surprise: it is a different brand of text-based game, more like an adventure RPG with so much depth, complexity and replayability that it rivals the best games of the genre.
This game is horrible.
