SOCOM 4: U.S. Navy SEALs Review ( writes:

"SOCOM 4 adds another heavy hitter to the PlayStation 3's illustrious software line-up with its addictive missions and killer co-op gameplay. If Zipper Interactive can iron out the various competitive multiplayer bugs, SOCOM 4 could rank among the best 2011 has to offer."

The story is too old to be commented.

Where'd all the haters go?

OT: Will be picking this up at MN launch.

redDevil872773d ago (Edited 2773d ago )

The haters are refreshing the front page every 2 seconds waiting to see a low score to comment on.

Spenok2773d ago

Lol probably. Unfortunately they got one. Destructoid gave it a 3/10. I havent read it yet. But i have the article up. Cant wait to see why everyone else is giving it 7.9-9/10 and they gave it a 3, should be worth the read. xD

That being said this game should be well worth the playthrough. Im excited for it. The MP was fun and addicting, and the SP looks to be dramatic/exilerating.

Because Jim had his period. That's why.

Dude look at the title of the website. "Playstation Universe" i'm gonna still pick this up even though it felt dated to me but please don't try to justify this game to "the haters" with a review from a website that is affiliated with Playstation.

porgep2773d ago

PlayStation Universe is an independent website that focuses on PlayStation instead of the entire gaming market like other sites. The audience is PlayStation people, but it's not affiliated with Sony, nor does it receive funding from the company. That being said, PSU writes for the PlayStation audience.

MysticStrummer2773d ago

The haters are over on the Eurogamer and Destructoid reviews, laughing.

Trroy2773d ago (Edited 2773d ago )

This is a "10" if you're a real tactical shooter fan.

8.5 is the most I expect from anyone who thinks CoD is a good shooter. =)

Dread2773d ago (Edited 2773d ago )

O god this did not get a perfect ten like all sony exclusives deserve !!!!

this must be a conspiracy!!!!!

MysticStrummer2773d ago

No one says all PS3 exclusives deserve a 10, but is it too much to ask to want a review to contain the truth? Socom 4 appears to be getting review scores based on beta play. It must be really early beta play too, because my time with the beta has been incredibly smooth and glitch free.

Dread2773d ago

dude dont be coy

every time a sony game does not get great scores the sony fanbase flips out.

show me a sony exclusive that does not get perfect tens or high nines and i will show u a bunch of rabid sony fanboys claiming that its a conspiracy. Its shamefull and funny really.

fuckoffodion2773d ago

Oh shut up Dread. you're like biggest crybaby 360 fanboy here. Did SONY touch you when you were young?

ALFAxD_CENTAURO2773d ago (Edited 2773d ago )

The Game is solid, and it offers something different which is the tactical shooter, and is better than Confrontation.

Pretty sure Zipper will give support via updates and it will improve the game a lot more, same case happened with MAG which is a lot better and a must have for Tactical Shooter fans or for those who are serious with Team Gameplay.

Spenok2773d ago

Agreed. Seeing the kind of support MAG got after release (and is still getting in spite of the relatively low numbers that still play it) this game should get much higher numbers in sales, thus more/bigger updates/improvements. I have no doubt with this comming from Zipper.

Master of Unlocking2773d ago (Edited 2773d ago )

Speaking of MAG: can anyone tell me if my lvl and ability points ( or w/e they're called) will be unlocked if I buy the physical copy?

I've been playing the demo from last week quite extensively, and they show a message in game stating that I could be lvl 20 or smthg (instead of lvl 8)& benefit from the perks that come with it if I purchased the game from the Playstation Store, but is it also true with an actual physical copy of the game? Thanks.

If I buy MAG I also hope there'l still be people to play with after Socom is released.

Trroy2773d ago

You'll level up like crazy the moment you plug in the retail game, I think.
