Are You Ready for Ads in Your Achievements?

Kotaku - "Real rewards for virtual achievements." That's the pitch behind "Kiip," a new Silicon Valley startup that intends to become the company that connects gamers with advertisers in a sort of Groupon for games.

Good thing I don't care about achievements nowadays. I kinda feel sorry for the ones that do.

Hell yes. E-penis much?

it's like,"Come on, see how many more video games I buy than youuuuu doooooooo."

I think it's great fun to go Trophy/Achievement hunting. Some people seem like they do it for life and won't buy or try a game based on their Achievement or Trophy set, now THAT is a terrible direction for gamers.

I, on the other hand, do it every now and then in games that are appealing. I usually don't care for the trophy sets and just play videogames regardless. But if the game is appealing, I'll go for Plat.

Although it would be nice to have an option to hide unwanted trophy lists to clean things up.

I like achievements/trophies because they add replay value to the game.

All I heard was BLAHBLAH BLAH,"I like shiny teengs."

I used to care but all it did was make me believe I was imperfect haha

I only go for achievements in the games that I love playing. It helps you find things you miss (for those of us that don't use guides when getting through a game) and it really does add replay value. Now those "grinding" achievements (find 100 whatevers) are a different story though...
