In the past I may have been rather harsh on Double Fines' breakout game (pun intended) Stacking. The lively adventures of a runaway chimney sweep; not only was the game rude on darkies, it had you soliciting under age women and urinating on people.
In the lost Hobo King the worse you get is a man sized Panda Furry who likes to inappropriately sniff peoples up the rear and the town of Camelfoot (read: Cameltoe) so all in all one can't really complain. Set in a small seaside village the puzzles are obvious, the gameplay shorter than short and all in all much of the shine of this depression era gem has worn off, furries or not.
It looks like a third entry isn't happening soon.
Over 30-year industry veteran and Double Fine CEO Tim Schafer talks to IGN about Xbox and Game Pass, making weirder games, his inspirations, the Psychonauts 2 documentary, improving work culture, his future plans, and the deep importance of making games with and for other human beings.
Great interview and really down to earth guy. I’m interested in watching the documentary they made on the making of Psychonauts 2 .
Just how do studios cope with the pressure to "produce a worthy sequel"?
I'm about 9 episodes into this and it's great. They've been recording it for long, long time, pre Kickstarter and Rhombus.
All I can say is WTF
