Toshiaki "Shinkiro" Mori, is one of the finest artists in the world. He was born on December 14, 1962, which would make him 48 at the time of writing this. We have been fans of his nearly his entire career, and watched his skills, mastery of his art grow, change, and evolve as we grew up and did the same. We've enjoyed playing the classic game franchises he has been a part of. He has without a doubt worked on some of the best games of all time.
As you look through the progression of Shinkiro's work, you can see changes from certain mediums, towards primarily digital imagery. This mirrors the common evolution for illustration and the games industry as a whole. We can spot Airbrushing, Watercolors, Gouache, Inks, Pencils, Acrylic, Charcoals, Oils, and of course Digital.

Hot damn that's a good list. The only one i never played is AOE2 and i never finshed Chrono Trigger but it was damn good.
Speaking of what's old but holds up amazingly well and plays like a dream.. i played Symphony of the Night for the first time in 2019.. yep that's right. It became one of my favourite games of all time that i replay almost every year. I couldn't believe how good it was. That is almost impossible for me with newer games let alone older ones. Truly a special gem.
The only one I’d disagree with is doom. It shows its age badly I think. After 5 minutes of play these days you put it down.
Includes savings on The Crew: Motorfest, Resident Evil 4, and much more.
The classic Resident Evil 4 GameCube release, the title that redfined the hugely popular series, debuted 20 years ago today.
Bought it the day it came out. Probably the most graphically impressive GameCube game.
The most influential game of all time. Along with the movie Aliens, it has shaped the industry.
I've never seen that picture of the woman holding a gun to her head, surrounded by zombies. But it's a really amazing piece. I love that it shows how a regular, everyday person is reacting to the zombies in Raccoon City, instead of being yet another picture showing the game's main characters. I wonder if there is more Resident Evil artwork like that?
Awesomme pix.
Shinkiro is the shit, I love Falcoon's art too.
Awesome, I never realised it was the same artist behind all of SNK's earlier releases.
Makes sense as I loved the way all SNK games looked and played up until it was picked up by SNK Playmore.
Classic!
