From Strategyinformer.com: "Thanks to Japanese magazine Famitsu we now know that Armored Core V has some long-haul missions for us in the game's singleplayer campaign.

Levels can range from 20 minutes to an hour, and there's 70 additional "order missions" to keep things action-packed. Armored Core V is due early 2012."

I'm probably getting my hopes up only to be shot down again like I was when I played IV, but I really just want this AC to be the one that defines what a next-gen Armored Core game should be.

The last great AC game I played was AC:3 on the PS2. I think that's pretty sad...

DO NOT LET ME DOWN, FROM SOFTWARE.

Well when you look at what has all been announced for it, its shaping up to be great.

-ChromeHounds like online system with massive improvements
-Speeds similar to AC1 and AC3
-Freelance mode lets you be a Mercenary for hire for other teams
-A constant online battle for your squads territory
-Commander mode
-70 Mission
-CoOp

All sounds great to me.

NOW THE REAL QUESTION WHO WANTS TO PLAY HAZE.....

Fluke_Skywalker2168d ago

Haze was nowhere near as bad as it was made out to be. I actually really liked it.
It was just released at a bad time when Sony and the PS3 could do no right. The developers and Sony over hyped it and it fell on its own sword.

The framerate and rending were more of the concern over resolution for me, and I can see they are making solid strides. Haze runs pretty well and doesn't seem to have many graphical or audio glitches (one cannot say the same for Ghost Recon lol). Given Sony hasn't provided any real backwards compatibility options, this is something I might consider. I still have my PS3 hooked up if I have a hankering for some last gen goodness, but I also wouldn't mind playing those games with either increased resolution or frame rate, whenever the emulator gets to that point :-)
