By South American, I assume they mean Mayan, Incan, or Aztec? It would be interesting to see an Asian setting, mainly because of the scenery change. Not quite sure how they would take the story to Asia though, unless it's with Desmond and not a new character.

I dont see how south american could work. It just doesnt really fit with AC game play. You need a lot of buildings that are close together asian has that south american doesnt.

I think you should know just a little more about the Spanish conquest (not trying to offend you only to inform you) that period was full with betrayals, fake self-crowned kings hungry for gold, complete civilzations and ages-old-cultures erradicated by force, powerful savage empires still fighting for their lands against the white men, myths and legends in every corner, cities bigger than european ones (see Machu-Pichu or the Mexican royal city) the corrup inquisition and that stuff.

And of course it only gets better if we don't talk about the conquest but the colony, european civilization clashed with the native one becoming a single mix of cultures, even more political problems than before (every country fighting for its independence) new philosophers and scientists discovering a whole new world now "native people-free" to explore, the battle against the Church Censorship, royal conspiracies, rise and fall of the spanish empire, the rising of new countries fighing each other... medieval japan is a pussy compared to the independentist-southamerican setting =P

Assassin's Creed in Rio de Janeiro or Japan!

Can you imagine how fun it would be a scene where Altair is fighting against some drug dealers or karate guys?

PS: I am from Brazil (Rio de Janeiro)

Johandevries4768d ago

Would appreciate any of those two. Still prefer the French Revolution though. Just not the U.S.

Quagmire4768d ago

Agreed, any place BUT the US please.

OMG YES bring on the SPANISH CONQUEST! (It's by far the most intriguing chapter in human story besides the rennassaince)

dinkeldinkse4768d ago

But depending on which conquest is chosen, it would be really close to the end of Ezio's story in AC:B. I am not too sure about the others, but Cortes conquest of the Aztecs is about 15 years after Ezio killed Cesare Borgia(I can't remember the battle).

Ahasverus4768d ago (Edited 4768d ago )

I think the most "conspiracy filled" was the Mexican one, it would be sweet to kick Cortes, but as you say it's too near to Ezio so I think the most plausible is the Colombian one (remember that Colombia was once Panama, Colombia, Venezuela, Ecuador and Peru so it was the biggest country in S.A). It was the one where the spanish royality was involved the most(almost as its "capital country") it was there when slaves were first free and where the most of Spanish conquerors died (some "inexplicably"...)
It must not neccessarily be the conquest but the colony, I think it's a better suited period because of the independists parties and also the land was more "civilized" so cities were bigger (and prettier) so they are more appropiate for an AC game. Also, the conspiracies were just around every second in that period :P Only dreaming here!

awesome, cant wait!

SanMarco4768d ago

Ok. Im done.

No Italy? No American Revolution? No Russia?

My interest is down the toilet.

Desmond isnt even a TAD Asian!

saladthieves4768d ago

They already did Italy...That's what the whole 2 games Assassin's Creed II and Brotherhood were about!

SanMarco4768d ago (Edited 4768d ago )

Yea I love Italia. Wanna Fight bout' it?

Sadly me & you both dont have that luxury as we dont have enough BUBBLES!!

Every industry has these issues

Some companies I’ve worked for were great and some were toxic as hell (UPS when I was a teenager was extremely toxic and I have heard it still is) It all starts at the top. They either hold people accountable , set standards and treat people with respect or the crap rolls downhill.
