Pocket Gamer - If Paperboy: Special Delivery has a purpose, it's to stand as damning evidence of how times have changed.

It seems rather quaint now, but when Atari's original Paperboy made its debut in arcades across the globe in 1984, it courted a certain amount of controversy.

No doubt too close to the truth for comfort, the idea of paperboys using their deliveries as weapons – smashing up the properties of those subscribed to their round – didn't sit too well with the middle classes.

AppGamer - I never played the original paperboy; as a 17 year old, I know no-one who actually did. However, I know what makes a bad game, and this app manages to implement each of its features badly enough to make it clear to even the most ignorant of people that this is not worth money.

Touch Reviews - Paperboy has been around for a long time, I am one of the many who played it years ago on my computer. When it first came out on the iPhone I was really pleased and now with this new version by Glu it has the promise to be just how I remembered it.
