The word "optional" actually seems to sum up much of Ar tonelico Qoga: Knell of Ar Ciel. The game is a collection of elements that may be explored as much or as little as one desires; it's up to the player to decide why exactly he or she is playing. My favorite game this gen. Seriously any jrpg fan will appreciate the characters and love that went into making this. I'm going to admit the battle system starts out slow but then it picks up and it's too late you are addicted to the game lol. Also want to say if you can't find the game at gamestop ask for it in the front it comes in a big box with extras that can't be displayed on the shelf.
